UK Original Photography - FULL MOON 1ST JANUARY 2018!!! - Trial of New Tripod
I was so lucky this Christmas to receive a gift from my Dad and his wife of a tripod to use with my camera!
I decided to try it out for the first time tonight as there is a full moon, what a great way to start the New Year!
Here are the pictures I managed to capture. Don't forget to click the images for the full screen versions :)
It is a cloudy night as you may be able to tell from a couple of the pictures, but there were a few gaps in the clouds so I had to be fast!
The camera used is my Fujifilm Finepix S9900W. I am really pleased with the tripod. It has enabled me to get a more crisp image, even without a DSLR. I can't wait to get out and try it with other things too! Macro imaging, being one of them as my unsteady hand is causing me issues.

Wow! A lover of moon. We have that in common.
The position of the moon in each photo when aligned, forms an "S" shape, like the "S" symbol on steemit's logo. Did you do that purpose?

You have some good zoom on that Fujifilm. Photos are so good that I'm waiting for the ET to fly by :P

thank you @fona! :) I took them using my usual camera, but with my tripod to help me to stabilise the image a little better. It still isn't as crisp as a DSLR, but it is the best I have been able to achieve with my basic fujifilm camera :)
Well you did a really good job ... nice photographs... now what you need is a zoom lens ..something like 300 mm would be cool .... ´The moon, our natural satellite and the astro we see bigger in the sky has intrigued men since the beginning of mankind. Moon is in the lyrics of so many songs and it has been in a lot of artist work, how can we forget ¨From the Earth to the Moon¨ from Jules Verne´ ... that is how I started a post about the moon some time ago hehe ... please have a look in here

ah ok.. anyway you are doing great with your Fuji ... A cool new years resolution could be forget a bit about technical features and think more about content hehe ... So carry on with your Fuji

What a beautiful full moon you captured with the help of your gift. :). Like a pearl in the sky ! And a a tripod is such an awesome gift for the superb photographer in you, @beautifulbullies :) ... I too have very unsteady hands with the camera. Painting is far easier that talking a photo of the painting. :D :D
