Resteem Sunday - 'Focus on Photography' - 4th Edition! 10th December 2017

Welcome to my 4th instalment of ’Resteem Sunday, Focus on Photography!’

I started this project with a fascination of other peoples photography work in mind. I wanted to dedicate a whole day to Resteeming other people’s work that caught my eye, that I thought was amazing, undervalued, original and probably overlooked due to being pushed out by all the spam in circulation.

So far am I am absolutely astounded by the amount of support and thanks I have received for doing this, it really hasn’t cost me anything and it has perhaps helped to motivate a few more people to keep posting their work here and mingle with other’s within the photography community.

It has been a busy week for me, I have been accepted on board to be a part of @carlgnash and @humanbot’s ‘Original Work Initiative’ team, which I am super proud to be a part of! Also, I wanted to introduce you guys to some communities that you may not have heard of that can help you to grow as a Steemian and photographer.

Firstly, if you don’t already use Discord, I would suggest signing up. There are so many Steemit communities on there already and you will meet some fascinating people if you just engage in the general chats.

The 3 main communities I want to recommend today are:

1 Steemit Ramble – This is an awesome hub where you can chat to other people and even ‘Pimp your Post’ on a Thursday and have a listen in to other’s doing the same with their posts. This is a great way to get your stuff out there and also to meet people that you may not have come across yet in Steemit. You can also put forward other people’s posts, which is awesome and I find it really motivating that people put other’s in front of themselves here. @Gmuxx has been particularly inspirational to me recently!

2 PAL – Peace, Abundance and Liberty – This community is also a great place to chat to other Steemians. They have a huge following and are really friendly and helpful. If you join this group, you can sign up to a service where you can put in a request for your posts to be upvoted by the community upvote bot. There are conditions though, please make sure you check out their rules first.

3 The last community in discord that I want to talk about today is @juliank’s ‘World of Photography’ group. I love it here! You can promote your own or other peoples work. It is a great place to go if you just want to focus on photography. There are details about the daily contests on here and there is also a new ‘Lotto’ that is being tested. I highly recommend checking this group out and having a go at entering your photo’s into the daily/weekly contests. It makes interacting on Steemit so much more fun! :)
