Finding Our Perfect Christmas Tree
Our Christmas Tree Story Part 1
This Post Has Been Put Off Long Enough! ..
Finally I get around to a quick post about our trip to find the perfect Christmas tree for 2019. We got up, fed the dogs, showered, went for a quick breakfast, and headed over to a local tree farm. This guy doesn't advertise much at all but for a sign out by the road. The farm is a decent sized farm with I'd say over a thousand trees. I saw one blue spruce, and that was planted by his front steps, so I am thinking that wasn't for sale. Otherwise he had lots of Norway spruce and a few Concolor Firs. That's what we were after! They have the color of a Blue Spruce, but the softness of a Fraser Fir. Beautiful trees that hold their needles for quite some time after they are cut.
We Parked the Jeep and Headed Out ..
Into the Christmas tree plantation. It didn't seem very well kept or organized (you'll see what I mean). Tall grass, weeds and other naturally growing trees littered the property. I kind of liked it though. It almost felt like we were hunting for a tree in the wild; something I never had the chance to do. I guess this may be as close to that as I will ever get. I'll take it! I was also in great company, my wife, so the whole experience is that much more meaningful and pleasurable.
Here It Is!!! We Found It!!!!!!!!!! ..
HA HA HA ..
Just Kidding. We did have fun taking our pictures by this poor dead tree. Onward we looked, walking here and there. Enjoying the view across the tree tops and through the groves of trees.
We Eventually Narrowed It Down..
To a few trees and made up our minds to purchase a not so perfect tree. We couldn't resist though.. it was so beautiful from the front. We fell in love with it and knew we could make it our Practically Perfect Little Christmas Tree.
It's the one right in the middle, being crowded out by those ginormous ones..
I walked back to grab one of the farm workers, so he could come and cut the tree down, haul it back and wrap it up for us.
We Secured It On The Hitch Haul ..
And headed home to get to work on setting it up and decorating it.
Haha the first one rocks! Very modern :P

Both @ArtTurtle and @Artopium (and perhaps soon @thejollyroger) are being needlessly downvoted by themarkymark. The more the delegator bots

pure vindictiveness as you know these bots are not spam and are powered by your steem power. Please help out by upvoting this comment

He creates blacklists of thousands of Steemians he deems "inappropriate". I believe he is a majority cause for the drop in
the price in steem as he wrecklessly downvotes random content causing people to want to leave Steemit. Since he has over 500,000 SP
he can do quite a bit of damage, so it's going to take a concerted effort to get him to stop. Thank you!
