Tobias Herzz Hallbauer is not only a good friend of mine, but also one of the most creative allround artists of my hometown Dresden in Germany. As a composer he's working with guitars, playing with (analogue) electronic devices, enters the stage as an actor and performer, or can be found touring throughout Europe. And if this wasn't enough, he's also producing works of fine art in mediums such as video, photography, collage. Find his website (incl. free music downloads) here: http://herzz.de/blog/
The portraits were shot in his studio and are part of a series of portraits of artists which I shoot as an ongoing project of mine. In this series I'm working only with available light. Depending on the person and the mood that fits their character, I choose the camera equipment. I picked an analogue Leica R7 and 35mm film for Tobias' portraits.
