First morning in Roma - Castel Sant'Angelo to Via del Corso
St Peters Basilica was gorgeous, but we had nothing to do there so we moved on. We walked for a while before we came across the Castel Sant'Angelo. It's a round fortress, very tall, and it once was the tallest building in Rome

And like most tourist attraction, it has a snack van parked right next to it - there were 2 near the pope as well - so ridiculously overpriced :|
Here is the road from the Castel area to Via del Corso, such a nice fall scene, brown and red leaves everywhere
Not quite there yet we came across the Palace of justice where Italy's Supreme Court of Cassation is found, building which is just ~130 years old
Looking back where I walked from gives me this beautiful rivery scene
I'm heading toward H&M, and on the way I spot the Colosseum! well not really, but I thought that this run down round building with arches is the great Colosseum. I was mistaken, as you can see in the Colosseum post
After finishing in H&M we continued to walk on Via del Corso where we saw all those beautiful light decorations and had roasted chestnuts
We munched on awesomely large Italian chestnuts we bought for too much money and hailed a cab back to our host, to rest for the night's metal concert which I'll cover in the next post! stay tuned!
