Mt Shasta, California USA - The Root Chakra of the Planet

Welcome to Mount Shasta
With an elevation of 14,179 feet, Mt Shasta is a potentially active volcano at the southern end of the Cascade Range in Northern California about 60 miles south of the Oregon State border. It's the second highest peak in the Cascades and the fifth highest in California. I've spent a considerable amount of time camping and hiking around the area over the last 7 years. I've put together a collections of photo's I took while camping here.

The Bridge
This bridge takes you across a fork of the sacramento river right where it feeds into Lake Siskiyou. There's a trail that circles the entire lake and this bridge allows you to complete the circle. Very popular with joggers and cyclists in the area. The Bridge is also a popular spot to jump into the river/lake from though there are many signs saying not to. Whatever, only suckers play the rules.

The Buddha Hole
a.k.a. The Smiling Buddha is a popular camping spot along the sacramento river with a naturally formed swimming hole augmented by many man made stone dams that you will find along the way. The area is also very popular with fly fisherman as well. Great spot to catch crawfish

Meditation Circle
No this is not where "The Blair Witch Project" was filmed. I make these all the time when i'm camping. I' have a thing for sacred geometry and I like to sit in the middle of these when I meditate. I also just really enjoy the process of creating them.

Looking Down
This shot is from about halfway up the mountain. As you can see there's a road and I cheated and got a lift. There used to be a ski resort and this was the road to the park but it was destroyed and you can find remains of ski-lifts here and there around the mountain. Also there's another ski park that is still running on the other side of the Mt Shasta. The Valley down below is where many of these photos were taken from.

Nothing like a good campfire at the end of the day. For me it's just not a camping/hiking trip without one.

Cloud Ships
No Mt Shasta photo set is complete without some cloud ship shots. The mountains is famous for them and there are many stories of Lumerians and other alien races coming to visit this mountain and even living within it. There is supposedly and interdimensional city located in the mountain called Telos. There are also claims of secret government train tunnels below and all sorts of things. If you come out her, you can't help hearing about it. I looked though. So far I have not found anything.

Earth's Root Chakra
There are many who believe the planet itself has it's own Chakra system. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chakra) As such it is widely held that the Root Chakra of the planet is also located here at Mt Shasta

Moon over the Mountain
