Salto Jimenoa, a waterfall in the Dominican Republic
This place is located in the central DR, the area famous for its coffee and the tallest mountain in the country. They say indigenous people used to live by this stream, before the White Man came. Imagine how wonderful and peaceful could it be.

I researched and there are two Jimenoa Falls in the Dominican Republic, which come from the Jimenoa River: Jimenoa 1 and Jimenoa 2, which are located in the heart of the Central Mountain Range of the Dominican Republic.
Salto de Jimenoa 1 (the highest one), I think it's the one you show in the photo of the post:

Now around the name of these falls there is a legend: people call them Jimenoa because a long time ago, there was a lady named Jimenoa who threw herself for the Salto because her son and her husband died and from that moment, in the dark nights and silent, after the storms, you hear an echo that conveys her lament ...
