Street Celebrations in Sucre, Bolivia during Fiesta de la Virgen de Guadalupe
During the Fiesta de la Virgen de Guadalupe, music and dancing groups from all over Bolivia come together in Bolivia's capital city Sucre. Part of the celebrations is a car parade through the centre of Sucre.
The Virgin of Guadalupe is an important Saint worshipped all over Latin America, but also the local patron of Sucre. The cars in the parade are decorated with colourful textiles and items that are supposed to bring luck for the future such as counterfeit dollar notes symbolizing fortune, teddy bears symbolizing family and kids and groceries to representing a good harvest. The hardest part is probably driving these cars since most of the windshield is covered in decoration!

Been to Sucre some month ago, I feel like I walked exactly along this street :D
If I remember correctly this street was one of the main streets close to the plaza, so no wonder it seems familiar if you have been to Sucre!
