In the northern boundary there is the Bay of Bengal, in this part is where the famous beaches on the Aceh's capital city, Banda Aceh laying on, such as Ulee Lhee Beach, Kuala Gampong Jawa Beach, Ujong Pancu Beach, Lampu'uk Beach, continue right to the west you will find Lhoknga Beach , Leupung Beach, Lhokseudu Beach, up to the Aceh Jaya region and also go on hundreds of miles to Tapaktuan, Bakongan and Singkil. Such a long coastline.

The local people might be used to seeing the beautiful of the sunset every day. but not for the visitor from other region. And slightly to the eastcoast there is a beach with a beautiful sunset panorama such as Ujong Batee beach, Ladong Beach, Lamreh White Sand Beach and next to Pidie region, Bireun, Lhokseumawe, Langsa and Tamiang region. On this east coast bordering the Malacca Strait, it is actually a paradise to see the gold sunrise, just like a song title: Sunrise in the Malacca Strait.

If you are a sunset fans and like to live close to the city, then you will fall in love with the city of Banda Aceh. But if you like a quiet place, then enjoying the sunset on Banyak island, Simeulue Island also Pulau Weh is the right choice.

Is It Easy To Reach?

To enjoy the beautiful sunset here, is so easy to reach, because almost all access to the beaches that I mentioned above, the access passed by public and private transport includes Grab and Gojek. Except for the hidden beaches where only adventurers know the way. All these photos i captured at the Kuala Gampong Jawa Beach in Banda Aceh City. This is one of my favorite place because so close to where I stay and here I can see beach and mountains at once ; D

The best time to enjoy great sunset is along the year almost every day. You just need to check the sky whether it will rain in the west part or not. But even the weather pretty cloudy sometimes it's changes quickly and if you're lucky you'll get a beautiful sunset panorama.

In general, because this is a tropical country, fresh drinks such as coconut water with ice is the best one, as it's very easy to find here. Also various juice - tropical fruits such as watermelon juice, manggo juice, avocado juice, pineapple juice, also carrot juice. If you are a fans of tea and coffee, that's also the right choice, the most famous here is the gayo arabica 'sanger drink' a typically cafe au lait with strong coffee taste, because Aceh is a producer of world-quality coffee beans.

In watching sunset, you should not be hungry, enjoy a tropical fruit salad called rujak aceh, there are also special Aceh noodles with shrimp, crab or squid .

Aceh Beaches are generally inhabited by various of human activities that you can see besides the sunset panorama like:

1. Fishermen's Activities.

You can see the fishermen pushing the boat from the shore, catching the fish, and during the 'tarek pukat' activity is the most interesting part, event in the morning and late afternoon. Usually people immediately came to buy the fish that was still very fresh.

2. Family Picnic and Gathering Activities

You will find Acehnese people jump in the sea playing with waves, enjoy the picnic meals near the beach, relaxing with the wind blows, chatting warmly with their families whilst see the sunset, or barbeque fish and corn.

3. Photo Hunting for Sunset Mania

Photography lovers will not miss the beautiful moments of sunset. But this is rarely to see. Selfie is more popular rather than captured the panorama.

4. Various Indonesia Food & Drink Sellers

The sellers only sell in cafes or just on the roadside. The beach area is only for visitors.

5. Surfers Who Surfing On The Waves.

You can find this is in Lampu'uk Beach, Banyak Island Beach and Simeulue Island Beach.

6. Happiness for being in such a beautiful place.

Not as crowded as in Bali, that's how you will feel more calm in Aceh.

That's the thing you can see without hesitation to jump in the water, but if you intend to get wet then seeing Nemo fish by snorkeling and diving to see the underwater marine park, and fishing by rent the boat and the equipment, also camping next to the beach are activities you can do.
