I prefer the B&W photo, JJ. Both versions are nice, but the black-and-white one looks better to me ;)
I have no clue what's the name of these mushrooms - Google didn't help either ;)
If you want to go and collect edible mushrooms, then you should not take me with you, because I won't find any ... I am mushroom-blind ;) ... but last weekend I have found one: I was walking, when I saw some ducks on the path searching something in the grass. When I came closer I saw this morel or Morchella mushroom - the first one I have ever seen :)
That is such a cool Mushroom I am not sure I have ever seen one like this, I to am mushroom blind I seldom ever see them so I had to get shots of these ;)
As for edible mushrooms i have no idea so I only eat the ones served in restaurants or available in t a supermarket
I have seen it on photos, but never in nature. I even haven't eaten this mushroom before, I think. So, I was quite surprised when I saw it 😁
I also prefer to buy my mushrooms, because I am never sure if it's edible when I accidently find one 🤔

I remember once in Thailand in a small guest house they offered us the special Mushroom Soup, and we were oHh sure, seems none of us had heard of Magic Mushrooms before, LOL what a crazy night that was

Ohh yeah we were flying high LOL the only time I have I like to be in control of my senses and abilities lOL
I have never taken any drugs, apart from alcohol, but I have seen movies, and so I can imagine at least a bit, how you must have felt 😵
