Approaching the Beautiful Nature of West End of Banda Aceh City "Ujong Pancu"
Banda Aceh as the Capital of Aceh Province always has an advantage in its tourism. Banda Aceh is surrounded by Aceh Besar District.
For the area of government administration, these two regions are separated. But specifically for tourism is very inseparable.
The tour of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar is unity. For those of you who visit Banda Aceh must cram history tours, tsunamis, shariah, and of course coastal tourism that is mostly located in Aceh Besar district. For example Lhok Me Beach, Ujung Batee, Lhoknga, Lampuuk, and Ujung Pancu. The whole is located in Aceh Besar. But still we call it in Banda Aceh. The tour seems to be a package with tours in Banda Aceh, so it is very difficult to separate.
Ujong Pancu Beach, so named. Why is it called Ujung Pancu? What is clear is that it is located exactly at the end and the end of Banda Aceh City. If Sabang is known as Zero Kilometer point of Indonesia. So Ujung Pancu can be said to be Zero Kilometer of the Island of Sumatra. So if not yet to Ujung Pancu not yet valid we cram this Andalas Island. If Indonesia has the title "From Sabang to Merauke" then the island of Sumatra has the title of "From Ujung Pancu to Siger". Siger itself is the Zero Point of Sumatra Island to the south precisely in Lampung which is marked by the splendor of the Tower of Siger. Unfortunately, the Government of Aceh or the Government of Aceh Besar has not "claimed" Ujung Pancu as the tip of the island of Sumatra, at least there is also a Tower like Siger Tower in Lampung. It's easy to think and start realizing.
Ujung Pancu is located in Peukan Bada Sub-district of Aceh Besar District. If we move from downtown Banda Aceh it will take the distance of about 20 KM with travel time 25 Minutes if motorcycle. If we stood in Ulee Lheu Square then Ujung Pancu Beach looks the most tip in the West. To get here well pass Lheu ulee to the village residents and straight up to really get to the Edge. On the way we will enjoy the vast panorama of beaches, fishing activities and many "mine" streets. The edge of the pancu is adjacent to the cluster of Aceh Island, Batee Island and Bunta Island.
