Male Obsession With Sex

Here I am Lucia again trying to find a good and virtuous topic to inscribe and share at the same time to learn about.
So the topic for today is "Male Obsession With Sex".
As a former medical student, this topic was often discussed. Men are the seekers of solutions to mysteries and sex has been one of the best. In ancient times, women considered themselves impregnated by the sun, which was the Mother God. Somehow, they thought that she put babies inside of them when they were exposed. In South America there are people who think that swimming with dolphins (a form of the Mother God) will impregnate them.
This was so ingrained in thought before it was known that women were confined to shelters or decks to keep sunlight from touching them. Not until agriculture and the care of domesticated animals lit the light. As the females in herds did not become pregnant when they separated from the males, they put two together.
Even then, the idea was that once impregnated, the woman showed the swelling immediately. That means he did not realize the identity of the real father. As several couples mated with women, the problem could not be solved until they were isolated.
It took a long time before realizing that a woman's body does not show pregnancy for about four months. In some cultures, this is still a mystery with many tribal groups, such as the Australian aborigines and the inhabitants of the Trobriand islands, who do not have words in their language for 'father'.
In these places, women were endowed with men who came to their tribes to trade goods. This improved the genetic balance within a group and ensured a healthier offspring. Even in Egypt and Levante regions where agriculture is believed to have started, it was a woman who led the family. These matriarchal communities were global and one of my studies involved the Maya, from Mexico.
While they had kings and chiefs to run their societies, there was still a lot of confusion about the power of women. Men sought to mate with Mother God and put their energies in that goal. The sexual images they carved in ancient sites suggest that they engaged in foreplay before sacrificing their lives to that cause.
The more I investigated this, the more obscene some of the images became. In many places they would be classified as pornographic. They are explicit about the sexual act, but there are no images of women other than the Mother God in most places. It's as if women do not exist. Certainly they had little to do with life after death.
In the case of the Mayan queens they were represented carrying out a degree of sacrifice on their bodies. While men pulled strings with spines attached through their penis, women were shown doing the same with their tongues. The pain must have been extraordinary and no explanation is given. One can only assume that it was to show courage.
About 3000 to 4000 years ago there was a change in behavior in the Near East that shows a change in sexual behavior. Long houses were built that could accommodate several families. This was followed by a period in which single-family homes appeared. This could only mean that men 'got married' or took individual women as their partners. It does not point to an understanding of pregnancy.
During the time of the Roman Empire, confusion over sex led to religious stories, such as the virgin birth. No one, at that time, realized that one needed chromosomes from both parents to produce offspring. All that was known is that men impregnated women.
This lack of knowledge led the Catholic Church to announce a date in August for the conception of Jesus Christ, about 4 months before he was supposedly born.
Only in recent years has the mystery of sex and conception been fully explained. It has taken a lot of research and satisfaction from explanations that are proven correct. There can be things like a virgin birth and a woman conceive nine months before the birth. The sun is not responsible for conception and women do not need to cover themselves while they are outside.
Even with all this knowledge, men are still obsessed with sex and their hormones are to blame, not their desire to mate with the Mother God.
