Trinity of Unconsciousness

in #philosophy8 years ago

A care for truth is having a desire for truth that motivates and drives us to seek truth. We are drawn towards learning because we want to know and understand things better.

Seeking truth expands out conscious awareness of reality. Seeking truth is not only about understanding the external world, but also about understanding the internal world of ourselves, of our consciousness-psyche-self. Expanding our awareness of quality truths, such as moral truth, increases the level of consciousness we have. We can see things more clearly, and act more wisely.

A lack of care for truth will inhibit our ability to seek truth because we don't care enough to take the time, energy, effort, persistence, determination and dedication to dig into things and find out the truth of the matter.

Not having a desire for truth means we don't go looking into things if they are uncomfortable or hard to bear. It out keeps us in a static and stagnated condition of ignorance where we accept a lack of understanding of important aspects of our reality and our lives that may make us feel bad for learning them.

We end up only caring about our little corner of reality, our little zones of comfort that relate to us personally. A way of living that: as long as my life appears "good", then it's all "good". If it doesn't appear to affect my "truth", my "freedom", my "survival" or my "life", then it's not pertinent to look into and learn about.

The trinity of unconsciousness is where -- instead of expanding consciousness -- we are stagnating in a state of unconsciousness where we lack awareness and are unconscious to greater truths about reality or ourselves.

Instead of having care and desire for truth, we don't care because we are apathetic to the importance of truth in our lives: "I don't care". This is a state of apathy where we lack the drive and motivation to learn about important quality truths.

Instead of wanting and gaining knowledge, we don't seek truth, and we stay in a state of not knowing: "I don't know". This is a state of ignorance where we aren't interested in knowing more.

Instead of being informed with knowledge and understanding to bring us to a position of being able to have the courage to act wisely through alignment with truth -- especially moral truth, to stand for truth and moral truth, to exert the energy and effort to stand for things that matter more -- we don't want to act in truth: "I don't feel like doing it". This is a state of cowardice and laziness where we don't grow towards the wisdom of right-action.

You can tell when someone is stuck in a state of unconscious living, in this trinity of unconsciousness. You an ask people regarding a topic, or even in general:

"Do you know the problem?"

And they will answer:

"I don't know, and I don't care"

They don't care to know the truth about something, because they lack care for truth. The desire for truth is pretty "dead" inside, in a coffin, in darkness. The fire or flame of desire and care for truth is not burning brightly.

When the flame isn't energizing us into seeking truth, to know, understand and be wiser, to act with courage in alignment with truth, we became apathetic, ignorant, cowardly and lazy in some aspects, such as towards living in truth, especially moral truth.

Thank you for your time and attention. Peace.

"Use the Force, Truth!" My name is a play on star wars/truth :)

I mainly find that people don't have all the facts/data due to not having time to research anything and that is the primary reason people are ignorant, while the vocal minority who always argue online are just straight up ideologues. Of course only speaking of my own experience, but if I don't know something I admit it right away and or will research more into it.

I think a lot about things, a lot of people I know don't. They got lazy with thinking or were raised in an environment that discouraged thinking. Which is why it is so important that we dismantle this overwhelming control MSM has over writing headlines(that is usually all people read), and replace it with a path forward on learning how to find the truth. Context/facts/data/analysis/reason/logic etc, a lot of these things are missing from the MSM because they just put out their own narrative and keep making their huge profits(same with academia).

Nice, the force of truth, hehe. I thought of it as a group/initiative/force as well, so like TruthGroup, TruthInitiative, that's how it looked to me with the sequence of words ;)

I agree with what you say. People need to think more.

if you get onto @informationwar before I do, curate this one for IW please

You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free

So says the holy writings.

Truth emancipates us from religious, cultural and mental slavery. It gives us hope and makes us see a reason we should look forward to the next day.

The truth will salvage us from the slavery of the trinity of unconsciousness

You always write deep things @krnel. I want more of you.

Good points. I like some things in "religious" texts, good knowledge at times, but religions hold us back with dogma and belief. Truth is real, beliefs are not.

― Michel Foucault

I sure wish there were more truth seekers in this community

Thank you for posting I hope this and all truth reaches as many calcified eyes as possible

There's nothing more important than the truth and honest care in any instance

You're welcome. More truth for the win! :)

It's quite easy to fall into apathy and laziness in our culture, I've been there, it took quite a bit to break free from feeling that way. Our culture almost promotes it, we either want to escape and become lazy, or figure there is nothing we can do so become apathetic after being desensitized by everything going on in the world.

This is such an open minded knowledge.
It is new for me knowing that laziness had a trinity with ignorance and apathy.

I don't know and I don't care lead to unawareness about the truth. However, I think, when we are at the stage of I know and I care but I don't know How to start, it can lead to more disappointment.

Thanks for sharing.

I know and I care but I don't know How to start, it can lead to more disappointment.

We gotta start somewhere, then the path unfolds after some time ;)

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, we gotta star somewhere. 😊

looks to me that i like to jump from side to side of that triangle
