There live a Richest man in Babylon called Arkad who had a son named Nomasir .One night he sent for his son Nomasir who was to inherit his father's estate as this was a traditon in Babylon.

But Arkad did not approve of this custom. So he addressed him,“My son ,it is my deepest desire that thou succeed my estate .Thou must, however ,first prove that ,thou art capable of of wisely handling it.Therefore ,I wish that thou go out into the world and show thy ability to acquire both Gold and to make thy self Respected among Men."
First he was given a bag of Gold saying ,“First, I give thee this bag of Gold which if thou use it wisely will be the basis for thy future success.”
Secondly ,he was given a clay tablet which is carved the five laws of Gold.
Saying,“if thou dast but interpret in thy own acts, they shall bring thee competence and security.
Ten years from now ,come and show thy self worthy to the House of thy father and give account of thy self.if thy prove worthy,I will.make you an heir to my estate or give up for charity to the priest .”

Nomasir took the bag of Gold and the carved tablet and decided to go to Nineveh because it was growing city hoping he might find opportunities there.

On his journey he joined a caravan and made lots of friends and in the caravan well two spoken men.
Who told him there was a richest man in Nineveh who had a horse so swift that it had never being beaten which it's owner wagered a large sum that no horse could out speed his horse.

The two men on the journey who said they have a horse on thier transit with them which could beat the richest man’s horse.s

He was offered to join on the wager. He was carried away with the plan. Thier horses was badly beaten and lost much of his gold .Later he discovered that this was a deceitful plan of these men who constantly journeyed to Nineveh on caravans seeking victims. You see these men where partners who shared the bets won.

[LESSON ONE]

On the same caravan was a young man whom he met and became friendly whose parents were wealthy like himself journeying to Nineveh to find a suitable location. Not long after thier arrival he told him there was a merchant who died and with his shop. With its rich merchandise and patronage could be secured at a paltry price .Saying that they. Could be equal partners but first he needs to return to Babylon to secure his Gold ,So Nomasir should should purchase the stock with his Gold ,agreeing that his Gold be used to carryout other venture. His trip to Babylon was long delayed and he “proved to be an unwise buyer and a foolish spender” so Nomasir put him of but not before the business had deteriorated to where they only had unsalable goods left and no gold to buy more goods .There he did lost his last Gold left. [LESSON TWO]

So there followed ,he sought employment and found t it not for he was without any trade or training that could enable him to earn.He sold his horse, slave ,robes so he could have food and a place to sleep but each day his wants keep multiplying.

But in those bitter days ,he remembered the tablet his father gave him carved on it the FIVE LAWS of Gold.He read carefully the words of wisdom which his father gave him and realised that if he had sought wisdom first ,his gold would not have being lost .He learned each law by heart by heart and determine to practice it.

                                                      THE FIVE LAWS OF GOLD

⑴Gold cometh gladly and increasing quantity to any man who will put not less than one-tenth of his earnings to create an estate for his future and that of his family .

⑵Gold laboreth diligently and contentedly for the wise owner who finds for it a profitable employment ,multiplying even as the flocks of the field.

⑶Gold clingeth to the protection of the cautious owner who invest it under the advice of men wise in its handling.

④Gold slippery away from the man who invest it in businesses or purposes with which he is not familiar or which are not approved by the skilled in its keep.

⑸Gold flees the man who would force it to impossible earnings or who followeth the alluring advice of tricksters and schemers or who trust it to his own inexperience and romantic desires in investment.

Profiting from the knowledge of the first law of Gold ,he saved a copper from his first earnings

,adding to it every opportunity until he had a piece of silver .It was a slow procedure but with DETERMINATION to earn back the lost Gold given by the father before the ten years was over .

One day the slave master with whom he became friendly said to him "thou art a thirty youth who spends not wantonly what he earns.Hast thou Gold put by that is not earning ? ” "Yes" he replies, it is my greatest desire to accumulate more gold to replace that which my father gave to me and which I have lost.

"This a worthy ambition, I will grant and do you know that the gold saved can work for you and earn much gold?" The slave master told him within a year the outer wall will be completed and ready for the great gates of bronze that will be built at each entrance to protect the city from the kings enermies.

In all Nineveh there is not enough metals to make these gates and the king hast not taught to provide it.Here is my plan:“A group of us will pool our gold and send our caravan to the mines of Copper and tin, which are distant, and bring to Nineveh the metal for the gates. When the king says ,Make the great gates ,we alone can supply the metal and a rich price he will pay.”

In his offer,Nomasir recognise an opportunity to abide by the third law and invest his savings under the guidance of wise men.

Nor was he disappointed ,thier pool was a success and his small store gold was greatly increase by the transaction.

In due time ,he was accepted into this small group in other ventures. They were men wise in the profitable handling of Gold. They talked over each plan presented with great care ,before entering upon it.They would take no chance on loosing thier principal or trying it up on unprofitable investment from which thier gold could not be recovered .Such foolish as the horse race and the partnership he entered with his inexperience.

Through his association with these men,he safely invest gold to bring profitable returns As the year went on ,his treasure increased more and more rapidly. He only not made back the lost Gold he recieved from his father but much more.

This is what he said after giving account of his journey to Nineveh on how he lost his gold and by the wisdom of his father he had accumulate much Gold than he receive .

"This do I prove to thee ,my father ,of how much greater value I consider thy wisdom than gold.Yet, who can measure in bags of Gold, the value of wisdom?.Without wisdom, gold is quickly lost by those who have it but with wisdom ,gold can be secured by those who have it not".

I hope you have obtain the wisdom of this tale which came from the book THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON written by George S.Clason.If you made the right choice before reading this post ,CONGRATULATIONS but if you made the other choice ,I believe you have obtain the Five Laws of Gold which is note valuable than Gold it self.
