Logic as a core value, let's get real!

To manifest my deepest desires, to make 'em all real... I must get to know reality and use it's consistency.

Logic is the best tool for this, as it is applicable to all situations. Understanding the world as it is gives me an ability to do the best I can.

Emotionally, psychologically, it is the most stable state I can be in.

Contrary to what is easy to think, being logical is not boring. The real world is way more interesting than anything any illogical mind can think of.

Logic offers me both safety and freedom from lies and fallacies. I am harder to manipulate, I'm not influenced by opinions and speculations.

Science denying is silly until it becomes dangerous for others, then measures must be taken.

Still, I believe all humans should strive to understand the world. That is the gift of life we as a species have got - outstanding capability to test, study and find out.

On the road to true logic there are many stumps, these are the ones I like to look out for:

Generalization

Everything should be examined as a whole, no detail alone should be made as an example for the big picture.

Anecdotal evidence

Details should only be closely studied to tell us something about themselves, not something else or everything in question.

Subjectivity

All details in the picture and their relationships should be studied togather to give us information about the whole.

There are never ending lists of fallacies you can check yourself and others for. Compared to any other era of human existance, it is easiest to be logical today.

We need to move away from what we want the world to be. Stop excluding evidence that is contrary to our beliefs and get real!
