Whew! A lot of activity on #philopsophy today. As I work out the curation strategy, I will definitely be taking @camilla ‘s advice and considering 2-3 times a week instead of daily, lest I miss out on the opportunity to post my own content! Tomorrow I will focus on a draft of mission and plan for The #Philosophy Review and ask for some community feedback.

The #Philosophy Review is a subjective survey of posts in #Philosophy. The goal of the review is to bring more exposure to high quality Philosophy posts and foster discussion. While this list is entirely the opinion of its author, I welcome tips on articles I may have missed and debate about what was included and excluded.

@clains posted two pieces today that compliment each other nicely.
The first is a description of how specialized and integrated information systems give rise to consciousness. For me this article brought to mind the concept of emergence Hofstadter describes. Information and technology as creators of strange loops! The second is a visual exploration of where to find the seat of consciousness.

Whatever your political and ethical stance, this is an important discussion. This is an article that approaches the question of LGBTQ rights from a consistent libratarian perspective. To the extent you agree or disagree with @mikemorris , you may uncover something about your own beliefs.

@craig-grant 's existential prose poems about freedom are always good for a change in your frame of reference.

The Manly Art of Knitting
@rgeddes
https://steemit.com/life/@rgeddes/the-manly-art-of-knitting
This is a practical approach to mindfulness that shows "meditation" is not limited to sitting still and focusing on breath. The themes touch on exploration of values. This topic could easily be expanded into a full "Zen and the Art of..." book.
