Guide: Power Up Your Steem Power? Try This Alternative
Powering up your Steem Power is a good way to earn more and distribute rewards to more members. That's why in every post you make, you have the option to power it up through choosing Power Up 100% in the option.
However, every time our post pays out, we might wonder the disparity of numbers when redeeming it.
As we noticed in this screenshot, SBD amount is way very far from the SP amount. There's speculation that it could be the value of Steem at the moment. But I'm not pretty sure about that.
Alternative to Power Up Your Steem Power
With the less Steem Power we get from our posts even powering up, here's a suggestion you can make when planning to increase your Steem Power.
When posting, maintain Default 50%/50% instead of choosing Power Up 100%.
When your post matures and redeemed the amount, stay on your Wallet.
Scroll down and hit the amount, and drag down menu will appear. Select Buy.A tab will open for Blocktrades.
At Send, change it to Steem Dollar.
At Received, change it to Steem Power.
Then enter the amount of Steem Dollar. An estimated amount of Steem Power will appear. Take note, as you do the process, the value or amount fluctuates, so it can be higher or lower with the result amount.Drag the page down.
At Your Receive Address, enter your Steemit account name. Then enter Get a new deposit address.
Drag the page down again.
I had chosen the Manual Transfer in this function instead of SteemConnect. Copy the memo.
Go back to your wallet.
Scroll down to the Steem Dollars amount. Choose Transfer at the drop down menu.Transfer to Account will pop up.
Enter blocktrades as the recipient. Take note, it should be small "b".
Then enter the amount, and paste the memo you copied from Step 4.
Enter Submit, then Sign In.Go to your steemd.com account.
Scroll down then you can find here that you were vested with Steem Power.
