Guide for Newbies: Posting on Steemit and Busy.org for the First Time

When I joined Steemit, first thing came to mind, how to post my first blog post? I explored the entirety of posting, and I am glad that I am able to learn the basics immediately.

I referred some new members here on Steemit, and I was asked some of them how to post their first blog post. Of course, I suggested to first create their introduction post using the first tag #introduceyourself.

Then let's go for the posting. First is for the Steemit site.

Using your mobile phone, tap on the pen icon which is the Create Post tab.

In this photo, you can see the numbering.

1. The Title- Think of the best title you can think of as your introduction post. Try to think of something catchy that can entice viewership.
2. Editor- You can use this to Bold, Italic, and "Quote" some words. You can do other functions as well.
3. Content- It is pretty obvious, this is where you will type your contents. Try to create quality contents as much as possible. If you are creating your introduction post, make it quite longer. Not too long like a novel, but not too short.
4. Upload photo/s- I was often asked where to upload the photo. By tapping on the green texts, it will take you to the folders where your photos are located.
5. Tags- Use tags that are appropriate on your posts. Do not use tags that some members may rebuke you for using the tag that is not appropriate. You may even be accused of spamming the tag. So use the appropriate tag.

This gets some members confused. Your rewards will be based from what you will choose.

This one will appear.

1. Power Up 100%- By choosing this option, all the money earned by your post will go to your Steem Power.
2. Default (50%/50%)- This option will half the 75% Author Rewards. It means, the half will go to Steem Power, the half will go to Steem Dollars (SBD), which the latter can be withdrawn immediately if you want to. This is the advisable option for many.
3. Decline Payout- If you don't want to get rewarded with your post, then simply choose this. Of course, you surely want to get rewarded and not choose this.
   You can check the Upvote post small box to automatically upvote your post after posting.

If you finished creating your content, just click on Post button. Click Clear, if you want to delete what you typed. Beware not to click Clear if you don't want your post to get lost.

Let's got to busy.org

You might want to use busy.org, and I advise you to use this website in posting. The advantage? Include "busy" on one of your tags, and you will likely get an extra upvote.

Now, let's start!

Of course, click or tap on that pen icon.

Just like posting on Steemit site, check the steps below.

1. Title- Simple type in your desired title.
2. Topic- This is the same as the "tag" bar on Steemit site. Don't forget to include "busy" on one of the tags.
3. Editor- The editor functions are readily available, unlike on Steemit site, where you have to click on"Editor" link.
4. Content- No need to explain, as you know what to type in here. 😂

Again, choose which option you will take for your post. Choose 50%SBD/50%SP to slice your Author Rewards. Here in busy.org, those options are much clearer.

Then hit Post button if you are done.
