Another call for help - a week-long #payitforward initiative for @awesomenyl
I was not going to do another #payitforward initiative until February, but this situation called for immediate assistance.
So...
Are you ready to frolic with me for another barn raisingfor @awesomenyl?

Pregnant and in need of a new home
In her post, she shares that she is pregnant with her first child and because of some neighbors from hell, they need to move before baby arrives. Her goal is to raise $800-900 before January 25 to accomplish this. She is also looking for funds to purchase baby supplies.
Here is her original post
Nyl and her husband @expatlove currently live in the Philippines close to family, which is great especially if you grew up with an extended family and with new baby on the way, but I was quite disturbed by their neighbors. In a post nearly two months old, she shared pictures of the neighbors in the back yard basically living in a shack and literally butchering dogs.
Now, I know in some countries dogs are part of the food pyramid. Hell, I've probably had Korean relatives who put our four-legged friends on the menu, but my American stomach can't take it...and I'm certainly disgusted with actually seeing dogs on the chopping block.
They are hoping to move to another province closer to other family members so familial support is still available, which is an awesome thing. I grew up with an extended family and in my humble opinion, the benefits definitely outweighed the disadvantages especially being a first-time mother.
This is her post about the dog killers

the pictures are very disturbing!

If you've made it this far, I'd like to ask you a question:
I love the #payitforward initiative and will continue to do this as long as I am blogging on Steemit.
In December, I gave an equal distribution on STEEM & SBD to six people. Previously I had donated single posts to one Steemian with varied earnings. This time I am dedicating a week of posts to one Steemian.
Whether you've been a recipient or up-voter, I'd like to know which option you think might be best for distribution going forward.
My question: Which option would you choose?
- dedicate a month to several Steemians with equal distribution
Keep in mind that one month is a long time to wait for someone who needs funds immediately - dedicate a post or two for one Steemian at a time
There is no consistency in post earnings but I can dedicate posts for a few more people who need help. - dedicate a week's worth toward one Steemian
I may have to prioritize Steemians by need and there could potentially be a wait list.
All answers will be taken into consideration but the decision is ultimately mine and may be adjusted based on need.
UV, RS, and donated.
On options, dang, they're all good. Maybe give them each a try & see which works best for everyone or a combo when an emergency situation arises. I'm impressed you can keep it all straight!
Good on you, @merej99, for your community spirit!
This will be the first time I try dedicating a whole week to one Steemian.
I think you're right about doing a combination if the situation arises - BUT - if I dedicate a month to several people then I have to stick to my word. It's really the only thing I have. :)
You have a big heart, I will go check her out but there is no way I could read that post about the dogs as it will set me off crying ..:(
I saw the post about the dogs and wanted to go hunting for man; I was so angry and disgusted! Nyl has about 4 more weeks before the big day! Hopefully we can come together as a community to give her some upvotes and love. Hell, if she was stateside I'd probably be shipping a box of diapers and wipes out to her. That stuff is expensive...even when my kids were little!
I would be doing a lot more if she was local, bless her I really feel for her. For one I would be doing something about those evil neighbours, thinking about what there doing knocks me sick.
Hey merej99.. Been away for a while... I hope this is relevant to this post... You've got some goodies I sent to your mail you haven't acknowledged, signed and returned ;)😁😇
Hi @inforvore - I have to admit that I don't have the foggiest idea what you're talking about! Mail - mail? Which may not be accurate depending on where you've found me because it needs to be updated. Email? I just barely got an email message with a notification about a DM from Steem.chat.
Sadly I've only been on a few hours this evening since starting a new FT job so I'm trying to get as much reading & commenting done before I pass out.
My email is merej99 at hotmail. Message me! I'm truly mystified now. :D
IM sorry for the late reply... we once discussed about you coming on SteemMag to talk about #payitforward challenge....
I sent a couple of questions to you on Steemit.chat (also to your email) a few weeks ago and I've been expecting a reply ever since... Lol.. So thats the mystery.. I was just being naughty with my message...

I'm entirely unsure of which way would be better, but I wanted to show my support for this week's initiative. I love that you do this.
Thanks, @prufarchy
You know what's funny? If I had a ton of money, I'd probably still be "poor" because my passion is helping people.
I hear that! My steem and SBD is usually sent right back out into the world through slam rewards, donation etc... Great business plan? Absolutely not. Extremely rewarding sensation... no doubt!
Very nice of you for doing this!
Thank you @the-future - there is a part of me that thinks it's selfishness as one day I may need help so hopefully the good deeds get recognized when the time comes? LOL
You might be right about that. You never know if will be recognized or not, but, I believe like you do, that it will be recognized!
Hi, @merej99. Thank you very much for your support and help this is such a big big thing for us. I'm very flattered bcos of all your support, i don't know how am i going to pay you guys back. what i can do for know is to pray for all of you guys who helped me. Thank you thank you! God Bless us all. ;)
Honestly, the purpose of #payitforward is to keep the momentum of giving forward to someone else with no expectation of receiving anything but a whispered blessing. It's about looking outward to serve one's community and give because you can. I will not always be able to give and I have a very hard time asking for help when I need it. This helps me in so many ways.
Blessings to you for a healthy, happy baby girl!
Congratulations for another new action dear friend @ mercij99, always attentive in helping others, thank you very much for sharing
@jlufer - you are incredibly sweet and I am blessed to have your support. Imagine if we all did something like this once in a while? There would be blessings all around!
I am resteeming now ;)
