My Entry for the Pay-it-Forward Curation Contest - Week 31
My steemit feed has been somewhat of a barren wasteland of late, a dystopian minefield the likes of which Mad Max himself would be driving around in the magnum opus looking for water and interesting content to read.
In my desperation, I've had to look at alternative methods of finding interesting posts by searching tags I don't normally do, follow @curie reward trails and even popping over into discord and seeing what's being promoted in various communities.
It's hard building a solid feed and keeping it going these days, constantly trying to find new authors to replace the ones that disappeared and besides we're lazy man. I just want to scroll down my feed and pick out some good stuff is that too much to ask for?
Pay It forward
In my mission to find some good stuff, I spotted the pay if forward trail and decided to give it a go. The pay if forward curation contest is a weekly challenge from @thedarkhorse to find bloggers to promote.

I'm going, to be honest, the picture caught my eye first and got me to click through but It got me to read what he had to say. In his post he touches on perception and how it can alter your reality simply by re-evaluating how you see things.

No worries lol actually took me a bit of time to find something I thought was really good just goes to show how hard it is for smaller accounts to get noticed when they do put out something worthwhile

I will suggest that when you feature someone let them know you did it with a comment on their post. Link to your post so they can see it. Not much better then being told your post was appreciated enough to be featured/curated.

The first couple entries are the hardest. Then you get into a routine which you can follow each week and you start watching for great posts to feature as you are doing your normal steemit stuff.
Those that enter every week tend to have a few categories they watch because it's what interests them. They become really good at finding the best content in those categories as they look at so much of it.
