In the morning after her chores she felt a sharp short lived pains again and she quickly got her mums attention to it but somehow her mum never took her serious and would not give her a listening ear let only the care she deserved in such a moment.

Mrs Sandra (her mum) and single mum was a career woman, she worked in a famous bank, had a tear rubber SUV car, and life was groovy for her.
She lives home for work at 7:30am and returns at 5:30 everyday. She barely has time for herself not to talk of giving a minute to her daughter like the average Nigeria mum would. When she got leaf she is either in London, Abuja or Name it to do one professional course or the other to build up her resume.
Christiana attended a boarding school as scheduled by her mum to give her more time for herself and her career.

Well, this time Christiana was on a mid term holiday and so mum had no option. Christiana had always looked forward to been at home so she could have some good mother to daughter moment and more.

At 8:30am an hour after the mum had zoomed off to work the pains began and this time it was very severe. The truth is she was experiencing what was known as PMS (pre menstral symptoms) for the very first time but she had no clue what it was not to talk of how she was to respond to it. She pains and trauma was unbearable and so she sort to taking several pain killer tablets to reduce to pains she was experiencing.
After several missed calls on the other side of her mums phone was rushed back to home to see what the issue was.
It was a bit late however as Christiana was almost bleeding to death and of course over powered by the tablets she had abused.

Christaina was hospitalised for 2 months
and was better educating for by the nurse on what had happened to her and how to respond to the change she was gonna be encountering as a woman. She recovered fully and was discharged. I was however the happiest moment if her life in the hospital because it was only then that her mum gave her the kind of love, care and attention she had always looked forward to.

Every day I am more convinced that there is a transformative power in parents revealing their true selves to their children. Do not amuse that he/she know or understands how you feel, come up open and talk about it.

I was only 18 when my mum told me eye ball to eye ball for the first time " I love you and i you know i mean right... I will always do no matter what"

Boy! Those love lines remains ever green in my heart and it has sure improved my confidence and self worth then on.
On matter what other said or did i somehow had this surety that someone cared and loved me.

Here are a few things i wish my dad had taught me earlier

• Do not respond to every erection have have

  Stay focused and true to yourself see here

• Men would always be men and women would always be women
  That i growing into a age of now shame and it would be an edge if i mind my own business
