Home sweet home?

My home isn't my castle, it's just a place I go to if I am somewhere else. It's not a luxury place to be but it's quiet and I can do as I like. If I find something better I do not mind leaving. What the "better" is depends on my needs or the needs of those living with me. Wherever I lay my head that's my home.

Wolves, for example, are not happy in an apartment and it's not unlikely they jump down from the third floor.
I saw mine sit on the top of the roof and it didn't take them long to get there. It's one jump, a paw, or not, against the wall and they are where they like to be. It's not easy to catch these jumpers but if you don't mind they make great pets.
They are social, gentle and loyal to their pack and that's what I like about them. There's no need to be friends with the neighborhood. They do not accept food from strangers and do bite the hand that feeds them (or an ankle). How cool is that! A strong character you can not buy with food.
Some dogs let you in but not out, these won't let you in at the first place. It keeps things simple and visitors away from here.

For the time being, I stay where I am.
The wolves are my home and keep it safe. One day I leave here. If it's not dead it will be after they died. This place will most likely never be sold and save memories. Ours and those of the ones who lived here before us.
Who knows one day it's a ruin, one with its own graveyard, where fruit trees grow and roses cover up the biggest part.
Some day someone might pass by and say: Once upon a time a castle stood here, wolves kept it safe together with the dragon you see here painted on the wall.
