Dadá: Kurt Schwitters
German born in 1887, he was a plastic artist, sculptor, poet and graphic designer with a rather heavy sense of humor, joker and dreamer, at the beginning when he was going to start in his studies he planned to take the branch of architecture, until he fell in love totally of the avant-garde paintings, being an excellent escape from reality and the best way to make a living being an anarchist, partially of course, since after the rise of Nazism he had to flee from Germany, to another country where he painted “normal” works to earn life.
Exiled from Dada's own art in Berlin, he founded his own “Hannover” Dadaism that was totally exempt from politics, was a precursor to the use of waste materials in his works, and even carried a knife with which he cut pieces of cloth from the luxurious houses of wealthy women, with whom he would make collages that himself would name as Merz, a rather strange and outgoing man, died in 1948 in England flooded in misery.
Alemán nacido en 1887, fue un artista plástico, escultor, poeta y diseñador gráfico con un sentido del humor bastante pesado, bromista y soñador, al principio cuando se iba a iniciar en sus estudios pensaba tomar la rama de la arquitectura, hasta que se enamoró totalmente de las pinturas de vanguardias, siendo una excelente escapatoria de la realidad y la mejor manera de ganarse la vida siendo un anarquista, parcialmente por supuesto, ya que tras el auge del nazismo tuvo que huir de Alemania, a otro país donde pintaba obras “normales” para poder ganarse su sustento.
Exiliado del propio arte Dadá de Berlín, fundo su propio dadaísmo “Hannover” que estaba totalmente exento de la política, fue precursor de la utilización de materiales de desechos en sus obras, e inclusive cargaba consigo una navaja con la que cortaba retazos de telas de las lujosas casas de Mujeres adineradas, con las que realizaría collages que él mismo nombraría como Merz, un hombre bastante extraño y extrovertido, murió en 1948 en Inglaterra inundado en la miseria.

Esta obra fue hecha en un año antes de su muerte, muestra una cinta roja que parte del centro guiando la mirada hacia algunas imágenes que varían en escala de grises como si formasen parte de un libro de pinturas renacentistas, entre ellas la que resalta es la mujer con el bebé en brazos llevando un recorrido visual en una escala tonal baja, esta va ascendiendo en pequeños retazos a los cuales están yuxtapuestos en la zona superior partes de recibos, papeles amarillentos, que logran seguir el camino de manera armoniosa hacia la escala de gris en tono medio donde realza en la parte izquierda una rodilla brillante que apunta hacia los recortes verduzcos que contrastan a la perfección con un color rojizo que termina de unir la cinta, retomando el camino visual en una especie de espiral.

Por otra parte la escultura Clown es una propuesta mucho más osada, el material puede variar, realmente no les sé decir con qué lo hizo, puede ser yeso aunque parece estar intervenida con una capa de pintura en aceite gris, algunos toques azules y en la zona superior cónica se encuentra un circulo en un tono rojo que a la vez deja respirar e insinúa el material, estos pocos colores y la morfología de la esculura deja a la imaginación la esencia del personaje que aterra a algunos niños y alegra a otros.
