Pennsif's Sustainability Curation Digest for MSP - week ending 23 February 2020

in #palnet4 years ago (edited)

Well the dust is settling and the sun is rising.

After another stormy week, it is now time to look forward to a new growing season.

Hopefully the turbulence will blow over real soon and we can all get back to growing again.

But beware, as any good gardener knows, always keep your waterproof coat and your wellingtons close to hand as the weather is unpredictable and can always take an unexpected turn for the worse.

In the meantime while you keep one eye out for changing weather use the other to read five more great sustainability related posts...

Offer valid until the end of February.

The Minnow Support Project has multiple curators that pick five posts from under-valued minnows each week to highlight through MSP3k. This way MSP and PAL can promote new writers and content creators on Steemit, and in effect reward them for doing a superior job.

Lovely curation @pennsif!

How about posting it regularly from the ecotrain community ? Perhaps a better and neater fit, and putting your content in front of a receptive and interested audience. :)

Appreciating you.

Thanks for using the ecoTrain tag! There has been a change as we migrate ecoTrain to the communities system..

From now on please use the tag
hive-123046
as the first tag
OR
Post from our community page and then use any tags you like at:
https://steempeak.com/c/hive-123046

Then we can all see you and keep supporting your posts!
Keep up the great vlogging and inspiration..

With Love From ecoTrain

Thank you @artemislives, and thank you for the invite to the ecoTrain community.

This specific Sunday curation post is done as part of the PalNet / Minnowsupport initiative so wouldn't be appropriate to place in ecoTrain. Maybe I could do another for there - although I think you already have that.

The tension between communities and where people post is gonna be interesting as it plays out - LOL. The poster is forced to choose, when in fact it isn't really like that. We fumble along... LOL...

It would be better I think if there was a system of check boxes you tick to select which of the communities you have subscribed to you would like the post to go to.

And to discourage spamming, implement say a 0.2 STEEM burn fee for each additional community selected after the first one. Great way for the STEEM to be burnt as well.

That's a cool idea!! @eco-alex and I had a long phone chat today India to Thailand trying to grapple with this whole who-posts-where. It will, no doubt, evolve. I am hopeful.

Hi @jarvie - would this be implementable?

You can only have your post in ONE community. It's really quite different than tags.

So does the Cross-Posting feature only work to one community?

i am chattin with steempeak devs on this line of reasoning,.., right now i think they want to hold it to one place... lets see how it pans out!

This was my take on how communities operates ... fun little metaphors/visuals to go along with it.

The irony is that after just over 2 years on steem and having earned almost 6000 SP , I have no idea how minnow support works, who runs it, what it does and have only just worked out this very second that's what MSP stands for. LOL...

@eco-alex. I tried to download the free book but got this:

so strange.. the coupons system doesn't seem to be working very well!

I have changed the book to be completely FREE so try again without any coupon code. It works for me, all you have to do is write a sentence what this gift means to you.. (i didnt make this up, thats how the system works ;-))

That worked. Thanks brother. I appreciate you.
