Homenaje a músicos venezolanos, hoy: Augusto Brandt / Tribute to Venezuelan musicians, today: Augusto Brandt

Hola amigos de steemit, el día de hoy continuaré hablándoles de músicos venezolanos, en esta ocasión les mencionaré al compositor y violinista Augusto Brandt. Este gran músico venezolano nace en Puerto Cabello el 10 de Diciembre de 1892.
Empieza sus estudios musicales a la temprana edad de 5 años, con el aprendizaje del piano y el violín con la destacada profesora: Ana de Wittstein, desde muy joven se destacó entre los músicos de su época, a los 16 años compuso "La Marcha Triunfal" estrenandola el 19 de Abril de 1903 en el Teatro Municipal de Caracas, con una orquesta de más de 100 músicos, en su mayoría profesores, y fué dirigida por el mismo autor, el joven Augusto. Ese mismo año el senado de los Estados Unidos de Venezuela otorga una beca para que continúe sus estudios de Violín y Composición en Bruselas, Bélgica donde estudia con el Maestro: César thomson donde se gradúa de Primer Violín, para luego trasladarse a Nueva York donde participó como violinista en la orquesta Paramount.
Al fallecer el Dictador Venezolano Juan Vicente Gómez regresa a Venezuela donde culmina su carrera artística.
Augusto Brandt fallece en Caracas el año 1942.

Hello friends of steemit, today I will continue talking about Venezuelan musicians, this time I will mention the composer and violinist Augusto Brandt. This great Venezuelan musician was born in Puerto Cabello on December 10, 1892.
He began his musical studies at the early age of 5 years, with the piano and violin learning with the outstanding teacher: Ana de Wittstein, from a very young age he stood out among the musicians of his time, at age 16 he composed "The Triumphal March" "premiered on April 19, 1903 at the Municipal Theater of Caracas, with an orchestra of more than 100 musicians, mostly teachers, and was directed by the same author, young Augusto. That same year the Senate of the United States of Venezuela granted a scholarship to continue his studies of Violin and Composition in Brussels, Belgium where he studied with the Maestro: César thomson where he graduated from First Violin, then moved to New York where he participated as a violinist in the Paramount orchestra.
Upon the death of the Venezuelan Dictator Juan Vicente Gómez returns to Venezuela where his artistic career culminates.
Augusto Brandt died in Caracas in 1942.
