Native: Changing The World One Community At A Time.

  • Do you ever dream of changing the world?
  • Do you enjoy organizing communities around a common cause?
  • Do you enjoy interacting with like minded people?
  • Do you like creating or participating in worthwhile projects?
  • Would you like to earn money while you are changing the world?

Welcome to Native.....

If you answered Yes to any of the question above, then you should definitely check into the Native Platform. The platform is designed for creating communities and has the tools you need to get the communities up and running. It also comes with a bonus feature. The platform gives you the ability to create a community currency based on the Ethereum Blockchain(ERC20) to be used by the community.

The community currency opens up a lot of options for the community. The utilization of the currency will vary based on the community, but could be wonderful in the creation and funding of projects, and incentivizing people to participate in those projects. Which really sounds like a great idea being able to pay people to follow their passions.

Helping people align their financial motivation with their passions is really the vision of Native’s founder Jake Vartanian, who has a lot of experience around organizing currency launches through his company Cryptodex. Here is a short video of some of Jakes perspectives on why the world needs communities that align a person’s needs and passions.

Native has launched their platform with 6 communities and there will be many more to come.

  • Earth Guardians – A new leadership model designed to give a voice to the youth around the worlds most immediate and pressing problems.
  • SDG Futures – A community for the future of humanity, who’s focus aligns with the United Nations SDG’s (Sustainable Development Goals).
  • DOLO – A community organized to create smarter education systems, with online community courses.
  • Imaginal Films – A community of creatives and creative supporters and viewers, focused on the creation of consensus films.
  • The Rick & Morty Crew – A community of Rick & Morty Fans. Wuba luba dub dub, need I say more!
  • Peace Accelerators – is a group who love using new technology to improve the human condition and spread global peace.

Joining one of the communities has it’s perks, and will vary widely by community. In general most of the communities support:

  • Voting on community issues.
  • Voting on which projects and initiatives to support.
  • Earning tokens for the completion of tasks important to the community.
  • Leadership opportunities.

So what does it take to get in?

You will need a couple things to get started with Native and join communities. And the Native website does a great job of walking you through the process, even if you are new to the crypto space. Quick start guide.

Here are some of the basics that you will need to get started:

  • A compatible browser, at the current time either a Brave or Cipher browser is required
  • A Metamask wallet
  • A little Ethereum to get some Native tokens.

So what are you waiting for?

If you have an idea or a passion that you would like to build a community around taking a deeper dive into the Native site would be a great step. Who knows you may be one of the people who can really change the world for the better.

They are accepting new community applications to launch, just scroll all the way to the bottom of the Native site and give them the information.

They are also active on a load of social channels  and have a news letter as well.

howdy sir coinsandchains! wow are there enough options out there yet for people unsatisfied with steemit? This looks like a high quality alternative though, thank you for sharing it with us!

Oh, I would not really consider it an alternative to steem. It could serve as part of the discord servers. Things like the whaleshares and how it started. Or the Global Home Stead Collective (#ghsc) and their global home coins, might benefit from it. Right now GHSC use's a waves based token, the only way to assign value to it is to convince someone to buy them or trade them.
With these community tokens they are tied to the Native token (maybe that's where the name came from) and derive their value from it. It could be a great initiative, but I think to get a large exceptance, they will find they need a free option to join the communities. At least at first, or they will need to find benefactors to sponsor people into the communities.
Most people are not forward thinking or focused enough to want to pay upfront to join an activist community on the chance that they may get paid in the future to do the things that they enjoy. It will be tough to hit the tipping point to get beyond the early adopters, but who knows if they can really get it going, they may be able to change the world.

ok sir coinsandchains understood. Hey I want steemit to change the world. But they gotta get that dang rc system fixed for the little accounts or there ain't gonna be no growth.

I don't know that it is really the RC thing that will or is killing them. It is the way steemit the website is designed. It is a pain in the butt to use and we have to resort to discord to really make things work...

haha..sir coinsandchains! yes sir well that's true too, the learning curve is so steep here but then once they do learn they can't do anything with the current rc system, how are you doing with that? you aren't restricted?

I haven't ran into any restrictions since they changed it to 10x or what ever. Of course I haven't been quite as active as I was either.
I do have a 100sp delegation from ecoin, so It is helping out a lot. I'm trying to maximize my curation rewards while I have it.

sir coinsandchains! do you know how long the delegations last? I sent some but don't know how long they're for.

Also, one of the guys I sent a delegation to needed more so I sent another one but the total didn't add up, it was just the amount of the second one so I assume that you can only send one delegation at a time to someone?

I think you are right one at a time, the delegation lasts as long as you leave it. I havn't tried but unless you set something up like an end date. I suspect that it lasts until it is removed. Also just a note it takes 7 days for it to come back to your account after it is undelegated.
