This is a fun and simple model, it's similar to the waterbomb model you make a balloon that you blow into and shape afterwards.

Interestingly the paper is actually purple and background orange, turned out blue and red. Start with an A4 sheet

Cut out the square, you'll need both parts(smaller piece for the stem)

Now we make the waterbomb base

Corners up (only pic with the right colors, probably the white corner)

Other side same
IMG_20180626_134347.jpg

Flip the layers, so you don't have the middle line on both sides(just hiding them on the sides)
IMG_20180626_134402.jpg
Pivoting the top corner fold a bit further than half
IMG_20180626_134422.jpg

Repeat on the left side trying to keep it symmetric, not that important to be precise though
IMG_20180626_134438.jpg

Insert the right part into the gap of the left part
IMG_20180626_134507.jpg

Repeat last 3 steps on the other side
IMG_20180626_134527.jpg

Blow into the bottom hole to puff it up
IMG_20180626_134542.jpg

Now we peel it like a banana, it's easier to do the outer layers first(top left corner on the image above)
IMG_20180626_134606.jpg

Done with the flower, now the stem, just fold the paper a bunch of times
IMG_20180626_134626.jpg

This width is about right
IMG_20180626_134710.jpg

Just stick it into the hole and we're done :D

Hope you try it, comment results :)

Hi there! I just upvoted you using SteemBot JavaScript library!

looks cute, lovely cacti :)

The tulips are beautiful @marblely - what sort of paper did you use?

Thank you @cryptocariad :)
I bought those papers from a Japanese chain store called Daiso. They have many types of papers available - plain ones, glossy ones, printed ones, etc:

These shops used to be known as 100 yen shops in Japan (not sure about now) and everything (almost) in there is sold at 100 yen. But now, Daiso in my country sells them at about 1 USD.

I like your instructions. I've made one in banana yellow :)20180630_114552.jpg

Oh, thank you @ivan-g... I've made these in the past and have put them in a little vase. They're so 3D I really like them... I got the idea of putting longer stems when I saw someone selling them as flowers outside a church. By chance someone on an aeroplane taught us (me and daughters when they were young)... That's what I like about the origami community : always ready to share wonderful instructions 😊

It's a really fun model for kids, I sometimes teach kids who seem interested on the tram, since it's hard for them to stay still while being bored and going far, it's a great pass time activity ^^

I'm out of practice @ivan-g - I had never done mine with the 'pivotal' step...

I will get nicer paper next time :)

orange one seems to be falling apart a bit, but the white one are great :D

The paper was 8 cm² so it got too fiddly @ivan-g 😅

You'll love my tomorrow's post xD, talking about small paper

I will definitely check it out, thanks, @ivan-g and will also try to make the origami box 😊
