Hey guys,
so I finally made it! Here's my first entry EVER to the Steemit Open Mic, and while normally I play my original music, I decided to enter with a cover of one of my favorite artists.
I give you my version of Seal's "Dreaming In Metaphors". For harmonies, I use Voice Live 2 by TC Helicon.
A big thank you to @luzcypher @pfunk @soundlegion, @verbal-d, @passion-ground @krystle and @meno for creating a virtual open stage for us artists!

Beautiful song and great live performance! I was just about to make a comment about the subtle harmonies then it came to the end of your video and you explained it so you beat me to it! I have a TC Helicon Voicelive Touch 2 and I LOVE it! I've set it up with custom made footswitches that I operate with my elbow because I use all my other limbs playing guitar/ singing/ harmonica/ foot drums. It works really well and I can switch in and out various combinations of harmonies as well as loop my guitar. Anyway - great performance from you. Followed and upvoted.

Yeah, I was actually thinking of getting tc helicon touch cause with the vl2 I have to get under they keyboard to adjust the settings :) it looks kinda funny when I’m testing different harmonies sitting on the floor, one hand up on the keyboard, the other holding the mic or adjusting harmonies :)

Oh thank you, @yidneth! I still have ways to go to play the way I’d like to though! For this song, the hardest thing at first was to keep the rhythm with the left hand while singing a different rhythm over it. It requires a certain neural independence :) took a couple of days to sink in and now it feels natural.
Wow what a great cover! Loved your harmonies, not surprisingly your voice goes very well with itself! lol The piano accompaniment was solid and your vocal control is really impressive. I am a new fan. Much love - Carl
