Steemit Open Mic Week 58 - Original Song ''Dicen''
Hello again Steemit , this is my song entry for week 58 .
First of all thanks again to @luzcypher and @pfunk for making all of this possible , thanks for bringing us the space to share some music :)
This song is a very emotional one for me , as i composed it as a goodbye for a dear mentor and friend that passed away some years ago , I spent countless hours talking to him about music , art and life in general .
When I decided to retire from music as I was going through some deep depression he made me regain my confidence and keep moving forward, I haven't given up on music since then. I will always be grateful for that .
When he fell ill , knowing he was going to part from this world , he called me on the phone and had his last conversation with me and also gave me his last goodbye ... this song reflects that conversation.

Hola Steemit , este es mi tema para el Open Mic de la semana 58 .
Primero que nada quiero agradecer de nuevo a @luzcypher y @pfunk por hacer todo esto posible , gracias por darnos este espacio para compartir nuestra musica :)
Esta canción es muy especial para mi , la compuse para un mentor y amigo que ya no está con nosotros , una persona muy querida con la que compartí muchos momentos , conversaciones , música y experiencias de vida .
Cuando decidí retirarme de la música porque estaba pasando por una depresión muy fuerte , fue él quien me ayudó a salir de ahí , a recuperar mi confianza y retomar la lucha por este arte que tanto amo , desde ese día no me he vuelto a rendir con la música y siempre le voy a estar agradecido por eso.
Un día ya muy enfermo y tal vez sabiendo que no le quedaba mas tiempo , me hizo una llamada por teléfono y tuvimos nuestra ultima conversación y también se despidió de mi sabiendo que sería la última vez que hablaríamos .... este tema refleja esa conversación.

Creo que ha sido la mejor decision, funciona porque a nivel de la historia, avanza y tiene una conclusion, si tienes eso, la estructura puede ser la que sea!

I first read your entire post - then hit "play." Didn't get much beyond the opening chord progression before the tears began to fall from my eyes... The rest was icing on the cake... What a wonderful tribute to your mentor @pechichemena... I loved this so much!

I'm itching to sink my teeth into all your videos when I have the time and it makes me resent the work that's currently holding me back from doing so.
You have a beautiful voice and great harmonic sensibility. To see your other open mic video, "The Executioner"—with all that tasty shredding—makes my ears gracious and hungry for more.
It is a very good thing your mentor and friend inspired the continuation of your music career for it would be a great loss if you were to not have written even just this one song.

Thank you so much @dokkodo for all your kind words ! this means a lot to me :) . I'm really glad you liked this song as it is a really special one for me , this is my way to remember him and it's hard not to get emotional when I sing this little tune .
