One photo every day. Famous Menorca lighthouse (8/365)

Today I had organized for myself a few hours for sightseeing and directed my steps to one of the lighthouses of Menorca.
Actually this is one of the most famouse lighthouses here. It's name is Lighthouse of Artrutx.

The sky was cloudy and this created more magic in the picture.

The lighthouse was build in 1859, but in 1969 the tower was constructed to be higher. At the bottom of the building there is a cosy restaurant, of course, with a wonderful sea view. The tower is located 45 m above the sea level, the light flashes every 10 seconds and is visible in the distance of 18 miles.

So, this is how I enjoyed my day today :)
