El Espanto - Venezuelan Merengue (Cover) [English - Español -Deutsch]
The musical metric of 5/8 is for most musicians in the world a difficult measure to understand and even more so to perform. However for the Venezuelan it became something natural, even for dancing. Especially considering that it is an irregular compass of three eighth notes, followed by 2 more and at a fast tempo.

La métrica musical de 5/8 es para la mayoría de los músicos del mundo un compás difícil de entender y más aún de ejecutar. Sin embargo para el venezolano se convirtió en algo natural, inclusive para el baile. Sobre todo tomando en cuenta que es un compás irregular de tres corcheas, seguido de 2 más y a un tempo rápido.
Una de las formas de interpretación del merengue venezolano es esta y de esa manera compuso Adelis Freitez, comopositor del estado Lara, esta simpática canción sobre las contradicciones en las que caen todos aquellos que aseguran haber visto un espanto…
Die musikalische Metrik von 5/8 ist für die meisten Musiker der Welt ein schwer zu verstehendes und umso schwerer zu spielendes Maß. Für die Venezolaner wurde es jedoch etwas Natürliches, sogar zum Tanzen. Besonders, wenn man bedenkt, dass es sich um einen unregelmäßigen Kompass mit drei Achtelnoten handelt, gefolgt von zwei weiteren und mit einem schnellen Tempo.
Eine der Formen der Aufführung des venezolanischen Merengue ist diese, und auf diese Weise komponierte Adelis Freitez, Komponist des Staates Lara, dieses lustige Lied über die Widersprüche, in die alle fallen, die behaupten, einen Gespenst gesehen zu haben…
