DECORATION CEILING / DECORAZIONE SOFFITTO (ENG-ITA)

Hello my dear friends, I want to present you a job that I did a few years ago. It is the decoration of a ceiling of a dining room of a privat home, in a historical building.

Ciao miei cari amici, voglio farvi vedere un lavoro che ho fatto qualche anno fa. Si tratta della decorazione di un soffitto di una sala da pranzo di un’abitazione privata, in un palazzo storico.

A big job, as you can see, and today I’ll show a part of it. I don’t have a picture of the whole room but from different angles. Later I will post more on this work.

Un grande lavoro, come potrete vedere e oggi ve ne farò vedere una parte. Non ho una foto di tutta la stanza ma da diverse angolature. In seguito farò altri post su questo lavoro.

It is a coffered ceiling with wooden beams and square lacunars cm 70x70 each.

E’ un soffitto a cassettoni con travi di legno e lacunari di forma quadrata di cm 70x70 l’uno.

I did the decoration on the perimeter lacunars with fruit and vegetable and related flowers.

Ho fatto la decorazione sui lacunari perimetrali con frutta e verdura e relativi fiori.

On the corners I painted fabric drapes which collect various types of leaves, of the plants in question.

Sugli angoli ho dipinto dei drappi di tessuto che raccolgono vari tipologie di foglie, dei vegetali in questione.

I made the decoration with pigments on wooden square panels with plaster, I made this decoration as it was a fresco. In some points I gilded the surface with pure gold.

Ho eseguito il dipinto con pigmenti su pannelli lignei quadrati trattati a gesso, ho fatto questa decorazione come se fosse un affresco. In alcuni punti ho dorato la superficie con oro zecchino.
