INKTOBER Day #6 "HUSKY"
Well, now I'm left behind.
I can not believe how late I am in the inktober, it has been a challenge to keep up, but it is already weekend and I will have more time to sit down and ink the ideas that want to get out of my head.
The theme for day #5 is "husky", this I have taken literally both for the body and for a beautiful dog that bears that name, resulting in a humanoid dog who just went out to hunt and prepares to eat his loot.
Tools:
- Opaline Cardboard (A4)
- Black ballpoint pen
- Marker Black thick tip
-Step 1:
The sketch was the most difficult part of this drawing, as it did not fit the head very well with the body, so you will see that she is more detailed than the rest of the illustration.
-Step 2:
Then, with the black pen, outline the entire drawing following the sketch guide.
-Step 3:
Let's go to black, husky dogs are usually black on their back and white on their lower part, so when you put it upright, his whole front turned out to be white and he didn't have much black to ink, but I managed to make shadows between his muscles and coat.
-Step 4:
Finally I added the last details, among them the deer coat, which was quite easy and practically based on 3 layers of semi wavy stripes, it was quite funny.
I'll leave you a little gif with the whole process in it, so you can better appreciate the step by step.
What is inktober?
The inktober is an initiative created by the illustrator Jake Parker in 2009, in order to improve his artistic skills, although over the years has made a great impact on the international artistic community. The challenge is to make a drawing with ink every day, hence its name, "ink" (ink) "tober" (October), although for the most part this is respected, many other artists prefer to stay in their comfort zone, so you can see illustrations made with watercolors, graphite, charcoal, digital and any existing technique.
