Admiration

I'm a lucky man.

I have always lived in nature and this allowed me to admire the spectacle of the sunset on the sea.

In my 56 years I have watched it hundreds of times.

As a child I often went with my father and sisters to the beach, a few miles from home.

When my father told us we were going to the sea, I was jumping for joy.

I didn't wait any further, on Saturday and Sunday my father told us that we were going to see the balloons in the sky flying.

We watched The shapes of the clouds that sculpted men, horses and funny characters.

My father taught me the love for the sea and for nature.

He could not paint, but he was very happy with my attitude and told me to always bring colors with me.

He taught me to dream, to imagine a serene world, even if he could not even make a house with a pencil.

He was just an accountant.

But he always encouraged me to follow the path of art.

Today I want to remember him, my father, in my watercolor painting, on the sea.

Thank you Dad for teaching me to love the world.

Even if I can't reckon or keep a budget.

Ammirazione

Sono un uomo fortunato.

Ho sempre vissuto alla natura e questo mi ha permesso di ammirare lo spettacolo del tramonto sul mare.

Nei miei 56 anni l'ho osservato centinaia di volte.

Da bambino andavo spesso con mio padre e le mie sorelle sulla spiaggia, a pochi chilometri da casa.

Quando mio padre ci diceva che andavamo al mare facevo i salti di gioia.

Non aspettavo altro, il sabato e la domenica mio padre ci diceva che andavamo a vedere i palloncini nel cielo che volavano.

Guardavamo Le forme delle nuvole che scolpivano uomini, cavalli e buffi personaggi.

Mio padre mi ha insegnato l'amore per il mare e per la natura.

Lui non sapeva dipingere, ma era molto contento della mia attitudine e mi diceva di che portare sempre i colori con me.

Mi ha insegnato a sognare, a immaginare un mondo sereno, anche se lui non sapeva nemmeno fare una casetta con la matita.

Era un semplice ragioniere.

Ma mi ha sempre incoraggiato a seguire la strada dell'arte.

Oggi voglio ricordare lui, mio padre, nel mio dipinto ad acquarello, sul mare.

Grazie papà per avermi insegnato ad amare il mondo.

Anche se non so fare i conti o tenere un bilancio.

Un abbraccio al tramonto.
