Travel memories - light

Hello to all dear friends.

Often after a nice trip, in addition to the photographs, there remain in it strong sensations and memories.

During my stay in Fuerteventura, an island in the Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean.

I had an experience with light very intensely.

A wild island, without vegetation and only the sand of the desert, transported from neighboring Morocco, by the African winds.

Very special sensations, extreme closeness and contact with nature, with the white of the sand and the bright light.

I wanted to represent on paper with a watercolor these beautiful memories.

A watercolor whose composition is divided into two large areas, one deep blue and the other yellow.

To the left of the painting I represented the shadows of the evening, with blue and purple.

The second part, on the right, the swirl of the wind that carries the sand with the light that spreads over the landscape.

Sand and light are pictorially joined.

In the center is the island of Lobos between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.

I hope you like my watercolor and I also share some photographs that testify to the quality of Fuerteventura's light.

Ricordi di viaggio - la luce

Ciao a tutti cari amici.

Spesso dopo un bel viaggio, oltre alle fotografie, ci restano dentro delle sensazioni e dei ricordi forti.

Durante la mia permanenza a Fuerteventura, un'isola delle Canarie, nell'oceano Atlantico.

Ho vissuto una esperienza con la luce molto intensamente.

Un'isola selvaggia, senza vegetazione e soltanto la sabbia del deserto, trasportata dal vicino Marocco, dai venti africani.

Delle sensazioni molto particolari, di estrema vicinanza e contatto con la natura, con il bianco della sabbia e della luce intensa.

Ho voluto rappresentare sulla carta con un acquarello questi ricordi bellissimi.

Un acquarello la cui composizione si divide in due grandi aree, una blu intenso e l'altra gialla.

A sinistra del dipinto ho rappresentato le ombre della sera, con i blu e i viola.

La seconda parte, a destra, il turbinio del vento che trasporta la sabbia con la luce che si diffonde sul paesaggio.

Sabbia e luce sono pittoricamente unite.

Al centro l'isola di Lobos tra Fuerteventura e Lanzarote.

Spero che il mio acquarello vi piaccia e condivido anche alcune fotografie che testimoniano la qualità della luce di Fuerteventura.
