It's evident that you know where the precious spice, saffron comes.
Unfortunately, I have not collected this spice from crocus.
It will take many flowers to collect a few grams of this costly spice, and it's not in my garden these crocuses grow.
For a good roast you need quite a bit of dried flower stamen. With a dozen flowers, three dozen stamens will turn out. This is quite enough for color and taste.
Perhaps I should try to collect some and try their taste.
