Alvilde (7) and dad in China
Our last whole day in China! Make it count!

The owner of the hostel were we stay have over 200 koi fish. Many of them are at the hostel.
Alvilde has never been to the hairdresser yet, her mother always cuts her hair at home, or rather trim it. So I thought it could be fun for her to go to a Chinese hairdresser and get her hair washed and maybe braided . So went for a walk and found a shop 5 minutes from the hostel. I suspect that the hairdresser never have been visited by blonde Norwegians before, because all the activity stopped when we entered the door. The shops best hairdresser were called in, with 3 assistants, and they started washing Alvildes hair.
All the best hairdressers in China is said to be men. And being a hairdresser is a job reserved for the coolest ones it seems. And they really took their time just brushing her hair. I guess it was kind of exotic for them :)
Like a surgeon, the main hairdresser started writing at the mirror, explaining his assistant how he would go about this "operation".
What was supposed to be a wash quickly escalated, and we let them trim the hair...
...then color it dark purple in the ends.
I got some trim at the sides.
Washing away the rests of the color.
Drying the hair, and "cuddling" with it.
"Beautiful"
Then they brought out the curling iron.
When finished, all of the employees had to take selfies with Alvilde.
Then Alvilde got to pick where we should eat. Guess where? The mongolian place off course. More dumplings for Alvilde.
Lamb for dad.
Then we went by subway to Beijing Zoo.
Pandatime!

Just before closing time we were starving, and found a Pizza Hut just outside. The lasagne was a little bit different than the Norwegian one.
We were supposed to grab a Shaolin show. But we spent to much time at the zoo, so we ended up relaxing at the hostel. Getting some sleep for next days long flight back to Norway.
