No Love From Whales
I just wanted to make a quick post. After a couple weeks here on Steemit, I have almost 200 posts, and 93 followers. I have not made near $10 for my posts I spent hours on and I see posts with a simple meme makes hundreds, if not thousands. What do we need to do to get some whale love around here?
We are the whales of tomorrow @bitcoinparadise join the $0.20 club. You follow me, I continue to read your posts, vice versa. We are only moderately late to the game. What do you like t talk about other than not making money for your posts?

If you got almost 100 followers in 200 posts, you're doing pretty good. If I was on the same percentage, I would have almost 1000 followers by now.
Persevere is the advice.
Yea I'm hanging in there. It's just a little disappointing that this post is doing better than my last! and it's only 1 paragraph with no pictures!
Check out my history, and look at the Blacklight Scorpion one or the WHY THE BEST TIME TO GARDEN IS NOW post. Compare that effort and payout with some of my others, like the last photo challenge entry or Bigfoot Cartoon. Not everything makes sense, and last I checked, no one had even watched the scorpion videos!! I make original stuff that gets upvoted, but who knows who's actually reading or watching.

Thanks for the encouraging words! Some of your friends on teamspeak radio mentioned you and checked out your stuff. Great work buddy. I admit I sometimes just vote without reading but that's how it goes with social media.

@papa-pepper, @fyrstikken runs the teamspeak room but I think @tee-em was the one that mentioned you in the room.
The most important thing is that you gather followers! If you get them it means they like what you post! It takes a while before you make a name. Don't give up!
And I also think that if you post about things you really like people will see that back in your posts as well.
I do post think I really like. The sad thing is I'm making more on this post that I spent 2 minutes on than my post yesterday that I spent hours on.
Keep dreaming on the whales , cos them ain't coming .

Thanks buddy I know. I see you upvote my posts. I try to do as much as I can but I am running out of votes! lol. Plus with the next hardfork, they're gonna bring it down to 5/day!
I am slowly following those who follow me. Once I get over 99 followers I will solely follow their feeds since I am not sure but FEED is only from those you are connected to ; right ?
Thus over time I will gravitate to my own little personal corner of Steemit. So instead of being interested in all the posts occurring I will have my three core niches plus 2 electives that I swap out.
Soon I will stop just voting on things but rather save those votes for things that make me interested or make a difference to Steemit or to humanity. The idea being is I will be seeking posts in my core interests and working to learn stuff and improve those authors posts.
I think I myself will find STEEMIT, (since it is our industry ! ) a core niche, TECHNOLOGY, SPACE, SCIENCE plus society or food or life as my minor electives. The idea is I follow Authors who post well in those category tags and I can establish a name for myself as a useful commentator.
Thus I am hoping my aims and goals are more realistic and easier to achieve by using this business plan model. So instead of being all over Steemit I will seek just to try and improve my tiny corner of it.
By sticking to what I find interesting; I hope to find stuff in my niche fun as well and actually learn something useful as well : )

Well don't stop. I think you just gotta create a reputation on here. You gotta remember it's a social place, there will the the popular kids running things because they have a ton of following.

Truly who cares where everyone is at; I am here to have connections and to change the world : )
We will do something useful or not with other members and have some impact . . .
Life is full of surprises and full of unknowns, do you really think anyone expected to truly become a millionaire or pop singer queen or whatever.
Life just takes us in strange directions; enjoy Steemit while you can, be considerate and respectful. Above all try and help others achieve their goals . . .
