Hello steemians!

Having been busy for the past few days with many extended projects, talking with various individuals and setting goals and objectives for various deadlines approaching.

Building the Nigerian community.

As my very first post on steemit said, Ive known about steemit since nov 2016, though only signing up in march 2017 due to my schedule as a music producer. Since then though, I have seen an exponential rise in the Number of Nigerians signing up to steemit on a daily, though sadly some of these accounts are now dormant, only after a few days on steemit.

I believe in not only bringing more Nigerians into the steemit fold, but also guiding them, showing them the way.

Steemit isnt nearly as easy as it seems on the first day, sure the introduceyourself post might fetch a couple of dollars, but as it has been said many times, when starting out;

comment more when a minnow, author/post more when a dolphin, curate more when a whale.

As a newbie coming into steemit, your focus shouldn't be on the rewards, come in for the community value

Steemit as a whole is a great avenue to meet and interact with various other people from around the world on matters of intellectual and/or social value.

Building the Nigerian steemit community through meetups and awareness programs

As Nigerians know, one sure way of spreading information is through word of mouth, and proof-of-action. So far so good, many initiatives have been brought forward to bring more Nigerians into steemit.

Encouraging these initiatives go a long way to broadening the Nigerian community within steemit.

So far so good, I've seen and wholly support these programs

meetups in Lagos by @oluwoleolaide

meetups in Ibadan by @fisteganos

Steemit In Nigeria S.I.N project by @ehiboss, @destinysaid @yaradua.

Growing the Nigerian community and enlightening more Nigerians about cryptocurrency is a task we all must join hands in doing.

Initiating more meetups, along with an annual seminar/conference is something I also think should be considered as well, collaboration between heads of different projects will also go a long way to show our unity in steemit.

Ive never seen anything say comment as a minnow, post as a dolphin, and curate as a whale, but as a new minnow this is so true. Great advice and congrats on the progress.

o, well its said alot on discord, and in patches all over steemit, it basically means to engage more in the early stages, way more.

I'm new so maybe I just haven't been in the right discord, right patches, or maybe the simple way you put it just made the lightbulb go off. Either way thank you!

Wonderful! Looking forward to reaching many more people in Nigeria.

Joined newly trying to find my feet. Dont know if i am getting steemed. Justbtrying to keep my cool and understand the game. Its awful not knowing where to start from or where you stand.

Can anyone lend me a hand?

first thing first, get on steemit.chat, then again its as simple as getting friends and followers on your side. Interact alot with people, comment alot, post good content(very important) and have fun

The truth is, come for the communtity, dont think about the rewards right now.
