I honestly don't believe that there is a true anonymous source. It is probably and op-ed just made up by someone or someones at the New York Times.
I don't think the NYT would...correction...because they cited a known source, it could be lawsuits galore if it's fraud...so, someone singing in the 'not me' choir is way off key...;+)
