Calling journalists, news readers and everyone who is interested in independent journalism.
Can we create a community on steem to support all the people who make an effort to bring the latest news to us, away from MSM, agencies controlled by governments/individuals or other censored institutions.
We are actually working on @insteem to make that happen. We think the design of the steem technology is a perfect fit for news. And since more and more independent journalists gets blocked by big players in the social network world, due to whatever, many are joining steem these days. Thats a great opportunity to collaborate.

If the focus is on news, maybe the feed should look something like news site and not like reddit? I'd look up the most popular news site and see how to make own similar kind of version. These days users need more visuals, I guess.
E:I'd keep the original view, but also work on the alternative view over time which then could be changed to by user.

What is being called journalism today is a joke. It's not journalism, it's activism disguised as journalism.
I agree. Crowd sourced information gathering and investigative reporting is the future of real journalism.
