HF 20 was a little too centralized. There are 20 witness votes and more than 1 million accounts. If a platform is THAT centralized, Steemit Inc. has to do a better job at reassuring users that they aren't going to get "screwed". A lot of users got screwed during HF20. Perhaps things are better now. I don't know why they were so bad for a few days. The whole fiasco takes away confidence. If Ned wants to continue to live in the shadows, there need to be more and more qualified witnesses who "take a fall" when they screw up.

The downvoting is bad PR (Public Relations) so soon after the HF.

There was little to no testing from what I heard that was some of the issues of HF20. I have full confidence in our witnesses, its our CEO's lack of community outreach that bothers me.

HF20 wouldn't have happened without the witness' vote. How did the witnesses decide to run the HF without proper information? Couldn't they have figured out that the system needed to be tested? There ARE people on steemit like @reggaemuffin who claim to have expertise with software releases and want to be witnesses and also know what needs to be done before something is sprung on hundreds of thousands of users.

I hope everyone learned their lesson.

I really think they did as there is a lot of talk about testing before SMT's come out, which will be our next major update in March (2019)

What's the purpose of downvoting people's posts if you're the CEO? Is he driving the price down to buy in more maybe?

I think it might of been a personal issue and not market manipulation.

Was he just downvoting one persons post?

There was multiple downvotes over that last few day.

I'm socially awkward (I'm an Aspie, after all), yet I'm here and I'm interacting anyway.

I hear you! I'm also a bit socially awkward and have thrived because of steemit.

To be frank, the CEO of steemit is literally one of the downfalls of steemit. He doesn't support us, he doesn't use the platform, and now he does but only downvotes? He doesn't post. Almost everyone I know shares this opinion. Steemit is doomed if our CEO doesn't start working. I am honestly starting to lose faith and he is a big part of that loss.

Omg no, you do not have the best hair! I shouldnt't have sent that comment yet! Good video man. Really losing it about @ned.

Yeah man, im sure he does behind the scenes that no one see's but "Perception is Reality"

Thanks a lot for including me in this steemit minute, but I think the ceo have other things to do instead. But don't he delegating for @dtube ? and to a lot of projects here ? Maybe someone deserved that downvote, who knows.

Very true, like I've said before he has lots of other duties and taking the time to interact with this platform still should be done no matter what.

Yes I would love to see that Ned is upvoting for Steemians again too.

It baffles my mind sometimes why he doesn't drive the Ferrari he has parked in his driveway.

I understand your thoughts and in the past he upvoted for Steemians. Maybe he is not doing it anymore, because everyone would love to receive a Ned vote and that nobody feels disadvantaged. But if this is the reason, it would be more useful for the community if he would upvote good stuff from time to time, because it´s the same like @dtube votes etc. It´s not possible to vote everyone every time and if you are receiving such a big vote, you are very happy. Especially a Ned vote would be a nice present for busy Steemians.

i’ve gone all in on steem. been buying steem every week basically at prices way above where they are now. and have no issue doing so for the foreseeable future. because like you man, i believe in this platform and absolutely love it.

i’m busting my butt to provide value here and spread the steem message across the planet as best i can.

strong leadership is needed for steem and Ned is in a fantastic position to do just that. the ugly stuff hopefully is in the past and this platform can grow.

hope we can start to see the steemit inc team being front and center. promoting and building the platform that so many of us have put our all into.

I will say they have up'd their game on Twitter but the road is long to get where I think we need to be. Thanks for the comment.

that’s a good point. their new twitter account has been great.

You are right about @ned. It's so frustrating what he does with his position for the blockchain.

Yeah I really don't get it. It makes no sense to not empower others with a large stake that he has. I like the guy and love this platform.
