Colorado, being a leader for Cannabis in the US, did it right by making it part of the Colorado Constitution. It protects the individual's right to grow it and use it for medicine. This opened up for a person's right to use it recreationally as well.
Of course the same things happened as are happening in Canada, Big money monopolized the market. Certain strains are being promoted that kind of mess up one's thought processes instead of opening them.
But it hasn't stopped the several million people who get to grow and create their own healthy medicines.
