How much did the military spend yesterday? $9 million
Yesterday was an even more impressive record low-spending day! Only one contract modification was awarded, for under $10 million. It went to McRae Industries for hot-weather flame-resistant combat boots. This level of spending would make a great 2019 resolution for the US military!
Below are the contracts awarded by the Defense Department
January 8, 2019
totaling $9,934,688
Recent record daily spending: $37 billion on October 18, 2018
Defense Logistics Agency - $9,934,688
McRae Industries (Mt. Gilead, NC) $9,934,688
