40% of electricity in Southeast Asia in 2040 will go to air conditioning systems!

Pushed by rising temperatures and the middle class, it is estimated that the countries of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) will install 700 million new air conditioning units by 2030 and another 1,600 million by 2050.

Ten ASEAN nations plan to build 358 coal-fired power plants by 2030, especially in Vietnam and Indonesia, which will contribute to climate change.

Perhaps the solution is....

to change the habits of consumers and the governments are involved in the efficient management of air conditioning in homes, offices and factories.
