RE: My First "Newbie Stewards" Awards Have Been Issued
Thanks for the explanation of the difference it makes to you @beeyou. I've had bandwidth issues a few times but I think that was when there was a general shortage on the platform as a whole because lots of people were experiencing the same.
I'm just stating my third month and have been commenting and posting regularly so I'm beginning to see an increase in my SP although, to be honest it doesn't make much difference to the value of my votes since I ge a bit carried away. My VP was down to 30% recently so I'm trying to build it again but resisting the temptation to vote isn't easy!
I hope the delegation continues to makes a big difference to you. 😊
@gillianpearce I totally relate to the will power it takes to not vote on content you find that you connect with. Probably comes from using that Facebook like button so much over the past few years. (So glad I found another social network platform!)
I'm currently trying to build back my vote power, or would have simply upvoted your comment instead of commenting on your comment...

Ha, ha, ha. I know what you mean. I think you're right about our old FB habits. No probs with no upvoting. That means I'm more comfortable not upvoting you too as I'm desperately trying to rebuild my VP. And to be honest, I think meaningful comments are of more value anyway. Especially in these early days! 😊
I agree completely with you... Upvotes are a crutch and the real connections are made in the comment section! Here's a newbie nickel for you too Gillian for making that point!!!
Thank you kid sir! 😁
Love your name ;) is it wisar dave or wisard ave ? lol
And yes I completely agree with the voting power... Its a blessing in disguise though because commenting can earn you money where upvoting rarely ever does... So here is a newbie nickel to show you the power of the since awesome comment intended to helping others! :)
thanks for the info.
I have made 1 penny from the upvote! woohoo
I am wizard dave. :D
... I was Marco the Magnificent in Carnival, so amateur magician...
I am a pinball wizard...
The dragons and stuff kind of wizard? I'm not at liberty to say... haha
Thanks. It probably won’t impact my curation rewards if I continue hovering around a 40 VP. I’m trying so hard to get it back up. Grrr. I can relate to @wizardave; it’s that FB mentality.
I’m usually not able to get on at all in the mornings/afternoon but because of Dave’s delegation, I was able to get on today and catch up with my replies. I was 2 days behind 😬.
Glad you got caught up with your replies. 😊
My VP was hovering around 30 for a couple of weeks so I've been working to get it back up. It's a slow process as I'm still upvoting. Don't seem to be able to go cold turkey! 😊 But this morning I'm back over 50%
I don't think, in the big scheme of things it really matters, right now but psychologically it's hard to feel comfortable with it being really low. Not logical but it is what it is. 😁
I’m with you there with the upvotes (around 50 myself). I’m going try to refrain from upvoting so I can try to build it back up. Even though our penny or two doesn’t seem much in the scheme of things, we should still try to keep our VP around 80-90. That way we can earn a tiny bit more on curation rewards and build up SP so our upvotes will have a little more punch to the authors we love.
I will be sure to stop by your art journal later when my VP is up. That’s really cool!
Thanks @beeyou. I hope you enjoy my blog. I'm quite proud of it to be honest! 😍
