HOW TO USE STEEMIT ON A MOBILE DEVICE
HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF ESTEEM?
In case you haven't heard of Esteem, it is a mobile application available for your smart phone or tablet that is Steemit's mobile counterpart. With this application you can take your blogging and various activities on the go with your mobile device. With functionality just as clean as the web based main hub, Esteem has proven to be a welcomed addition to the Steemit platform. In this tutorial I am going to show you in ten easy steps how to download and sign up for the Esteem application, making your blogging able to be completed more efficiently. Let's get started.
STEP ONE - GO TO THE APPLICATION PLAY STORE
As seen in the picture above. Locate the "Play Store" icon and click on this to be directed to the application play store. Continue to step two.
STEP TWO - SEARCH FOR "ESTEEM" IN THE PLAY STORE
Once you have entered the Play Store, proceed to search for "esteem" in the search bar. It will pull up the Resteem icon as seen above. Click on this icon, which is the Esteem application home page. On to the next step.
STEP THREE - DOWNLOAD THE ESTEEM APPLICATION
Once on the Esteem home page, click on the "download" or "install button. This will begin the initial download process. Next is step four.
STEP FOUR - INSTALL THE ESTEEM APPLICATION ON YOUR DEVICE
In most cases, this will begin automatically. In the even it does not, click on the "install" button to complete the process of setting up the Esteem application on your mobile device. This takes you to step five.
STEP FIVE - LOCATE THE ESTEEM APPLICATION ON YOUR DEVICE
Once you have finished downloading and installing the Esteem application, you will need to locate it on your device's home screen. Once you have found it, proceed to step six.
STEP SIX - OPEN THE ESTEEM APPLICATION
Once you have found the Esteem app on your phone, click on it to open it. This will take you to the next step.
STEP SEVEN - FIND AND OPEN THE MENU TAB IN THE ESTEEM APP
Find and click the button for the Home/Account menu in the Esteem app. Proceed to step eight.
STEP EIGHT - FIND THE LOGIN BUTTON IN THE ESTEEM APP
Once you open the home/account tab in the Resteem application you will need to locate and click the "Login button.
STEP NINE - LOGIN TO THE ESTEEM APP WITH YOUR STEEMIT INFORMATION
After clicking the "Login" button, you will be directed to the account login page. Enter your Steemit username and password and click on "Login". Now proceed to the final step.
STEP TEN - START USING STEEMIT ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE
Once you have logged into the Esteem application, that's it. You are now using Steemit on a mobile device. Enjoy!

@terminallyill, thank you for this post! I installed esteem a couple weeks ago, through the process you have outlined in this article.
I have used my phone only for Steemit. However, the link that I use is the one that is circled and says "Steemit".
You can see the esteem link too. I haven't used the esteem link because, I have always used the other, from the beginning of my time on Steemit and I don't really know what the advantage is of using esteem instead of the other. Thoughts?

Hi! I just downloaded esteem on my iPhone... gonna try it out now! I’ve been using browser on phone and it can be glitchy. Hopefully this will be better! Thx! I had no idea a mobile app existed! 😉

This is great; I love esteem, although I do prefer my laptop. I just did a post a couple days ago about my favourite tools to use and totally forgot about esteem! Glad you thought to do this post ;) Cheers!
Thank you @lynncoyle1 :) Though I always prefer my laptop for ease of use and posting design, the application has come in handy for me once in a while to use Steemit on the go. Definitely will always prefer the laptop over a mobile device though.
This is super easy to follow instructions. Esteem is really good for short post and to keep up with your post while you are away from a computer. Thank you for sharing :) Esteem is a good app to have and share knowledge about.

Which password do you use to sign in?
In other words I'm wondering about how the security is?
You use the same password to login as you would on Steemit. I've been using for over 6 weeks, no problems at all. From research and personal use, security is top notch.
I assume you use your "post" or "active" password?
And not the "owner"?
It is your main password. The very same one we log onto Steemit with.
