@terminallyill, thank you for this post! I installed esteem a couple weeks ago, through the process you have outlined in this article.
I have used my phone only for Steemit. However, the link that I use is the one that is circled and says "Steemit".
You can see the esteem link too. I haven't used the esteem link because, I have always used the other, from the beginning of my time on Steemit and I don't really know what the advantage is of using esteem instead of the other. Thoughts?

@kismet2018 I personally do not even know if there is an advantage for using one vs the other. However, the topic you just brought to my attention will make for a good blog article after I investigate this. Thank you :)
