If your not already famous dont bother joining Steemit. WTF!!!!!!!!! coming from a steemit mini whale

in #new8 years ago

I've noticed if your not already famous it's a waste of time joining Steemit. This is very bad for Steemit.
What the heck is going on? Steemit should be for everybody not just the rich and famous.
If your not rich or famous your not going to do well on this site.
I am very disappointed as a investor.
This is not a successful business model

You are not a mini whale. You are at best a mini dolphin. And your posts are not thoughtful, interesting or helpful. They are counterproductive to the development of steem and dare I say even to yourself.

Here is a thoughtful post discussing steemit by someone who does understand business:

How Steemit technology and principles can (and will) become the foundation of the future of management in companies (Featuring new author @sebastien)

@erath , it looks like to me you guys are both Decent sized Dolphins of about the same size. I consider myself a mini-Dolphin. I figure anyone at HERO status is at least a Dolphin. Anyway, I think @juneaugoldbuyer is kinda new here, and might just be a little over excited just like I was in the very beginning.
I know since I joined a little over a month now, there have been quite a few changes for STEEMIT, and that too has led to some confusions and misunderstandings.
Hang in the @juneaugodlbuyer .... it is still very very early in the life of STEEMIT.COM
ps. I posted a few new articles on My Blog Please stop by when you can.

Well, use your mini-whale power to vote whoever you like?

I do, I rearward all new content providers to give them incentive and not get discouraged by what they see on the trending page

@juneaugoldbuyer This is good, very good. I too have been doing the same. I have been monitoring the Steemit TRENDS page, then clicking on NEW, to see the new posts that are coming in. And @juneaugoldber has a point, many new articles go without earning 1 Steem Dollar cent. That will discourage many.
I know not everyone can be a Hemingway or Faulkner but even just a small sign of support will keep these new users coming back. BUT NO SUPPORT and you can guarantee that the new users will be quickly discouraged. Therefore it is good what @juneaugoldbuyer is doing to support those that are new. I do the same, as well as try to guide and encourage new STEEMIT users. I also encourage New Users to comment and reply on posts as much as possible because that is where most if not all the rewards will be for new users.

Takes time when your not famous..... If you have a high follow rate on twitter, or a good fan base on facebook then your more likely to do better on steemit, by bringing in more people.
You can pound post after post, trade steem and deposit profits, raid every post with replies to get steem dollars, upvote whales and good posts.

But it is a successful business model, but just not in the way you imagine. Its not designed for the little guy to get ahead. Its design is based (rewards/payouts) on Zipfs Law (google it) See Steemit white paper page 20. They are not hiding it, merely not discussing it. Example me a minnow having 10 steem power or 1/3 a cent (or less) voting power means nothing, you with 36,000 steem power has a vote worth 10 cents. Minnows will always be minnows. Zipfs Law. The 1%, the 10% and the 89%. There is no middle, it is designed that way. There will never be a trout or a marlin or tuna.

You're right. I've noticed this thing too. Maybe we should begin to compose about ourselfs?) "Hello, I'm the first president of USA on steemit! Barak Obama is here with you...blablabla"
