Token VS Token

Another Day, Another Token

If you haven't logged into https://steem-engine.com yet, you aren't Steeming right. These tokens, tribes, communities or whatever you want to call them have taken over the Steem blockchain. I've been collecting a wide assortment of tokens and some are clearly better than others. After analyzing various coins in a #tokenversustoken fashion you can see there are differences that will lead to long-term and immediate differences in value. Let's explore them together.

Analysis

We can compare and contrast the supply, demand, trading volume, developers, team, initial distribution, inflation, whales (large stakeholders), uniqueness, faucets, sinks, real-world value, among other fundamentals. You can look at the technical indicators, price movements, growth of supply, community activity and be the judge of what's happening. I have my favourites, we all do. Most will probably be worthless and I am not suggesting that you buy into any particular community. In no means is this meant to be financial advice. I think it is important that we explore these tribes to make stakeholders have as much information as possible.

This is going to be a regular post and I hope to cover all the major tokens. We will compare similar tokens in each post so general tokens like #neoxian vs #palnet, subject-based tribes such as #steemleo vs #steemace, fun tokens such as #beer vs #drama Etc. There are so many to look at and new ones popping up every day such as #lifestyle today so the subject matter is literally endless. I'd like to do a post a week or so, so stay tuned for some Token VS Token action!

PS. This is my first Steempeak post and it's a great front end!

Can't wait to see some of your token analysis or let us call it BATTLE OF THE TOKENS! (Please read with echo in mind xD)
My steem engine wallet is filled with too many different tokens and I already delegated many of them to alt accounts so I can manage them better but it's still chaotic haha.
And now I see that the steempeak wallet isn't showing the delegated tokens, but it's a good transition directly to steempeak haha, I actually only use this frontend because it shows everything I need, also different other tribe tokens. And it looks really good, which is also very important.

Vielen lieben Dank für euren Support. Der Account meiner Tochter wächst und gedeiht.

I do like steempeak and it's features. I've been playing on esteem as they're a mobile design that's actually still active on the chain. I'm not into SE or the tribes really myself, it's a novelty that is attempting an insurmountable task of building a community around a token which has never really been a thing for humans up to this point. I sold off all my holding before the prices dropped, and they've all dropped. I'm happy with my bitcent gained and give a massive thumbs down to steemengine the most poorly designed site especially for mobile I've ever encountered. Honestly it's a joke but when stinc is your competition I get having no standard beyond internet circa 1998

Thank you for your honest opinion, there are far too many shills here begging for half-cent upvotes. I think the same for the most part and have pulled more much more off of Steem-Engine than I've put on there. Not all the communities are lousy and the most important thing will be bringing new people to Steem, something very few communities are doing. My biggest beef is with the tribes that are a cash grab for a few people and they add very little value asides from "let's talk about this here." Why not just talk about it on Steem?

Aggroed has made a few bucks off Steem-Engine and the fact that he pulled it off is admirable however some of those tribe leaders are doing things which are questionably legal (unethical) and Steem-Engine is enabling it.

Precisely! These points along with no improvements to the dex is a turn off for me.. I agree that there are tribes that have potential. It's seems logical that our community would have a vested interest in steemleo as would outsiders that have caught the crypto bug. Sports and the arts are also fairly universal and seemingly safe angles to play. The premise of attracting a community to flourish with a layered token is just flawed to me, but I get that anything new is at least temporary progress and has boosted morale which was at an all time low. For entertainment purposes sure why not I staked beer just because and I appreciate drama as its creator and myself have a health history of butting heads that we don't descend into name calling or worse. We tolerate each other and that's good for steem. Drama is good, engage is another great concept.

Aggy is a fun personality and I'm not knocking his hustle but his attitude about his success in getting SE running is less than becoming and yet another example where our leaders are far from professionals. Everyone needs to ask themselves if they went to a site with the layout and functions of SE would they not think this was a high school project that deserves maybe a B-. In the real world that dev would be shit canned for offering an unfinished beta failure to the team.. Steem needs real talk not pandering for votes and blind faith..

If you think SE’s GUI and UX is bad, then FreedomEx is total 👊🏽💩

Steem definitely needs better.

I'd never heard of it so I gave it a look and lo and behold the page can't load... I don't know if that even counts 😂 it took 20 seconds to find out that the official word is NO.. How does this shit get made? Looks like crack has worked it's way into Silicon Valley...

Soon we’ll need a wiki just to sort out what tribe represents what and why we should care for them. I have thrown some steem into steemleo, stem, ccc, and now lifestyle. The rest I’m still on the fence...

We won't need a wiki cause most will be worthless 😸 if you like those subjects and wish to curate buy a few tokens. If you don't carenabout those tribes I strongly suggest avoiding them.

Fair point. But with so many out there and more coming, it’s hard to know which I would care about. Of course, those that are active are easier to learn about and probably the only ones worth caring about :)

I'm excited to see your comparisons. I also have doubts about a lot of these tokens (I won't call them assets).

Thanks, some aren't assets, they are shareholders equity.

Can’t wait for this series @crypticat, your opinions are always straight frwd and honest... plus someone needs to point out the legalities (or lack of) on some SCOTs— without sounding like they’ve gone off the rocker if you know who I mean 😅

Cheers bro !BEER

Thanks Donald. If I notice someone is breaking the law or scamming I will call them out. Most of these aren't ICOs and are really nothing but a club with points, they aren't soliciting investors or promising much of anything. I suppose some people will get mad because the truth is going to come out.

I'm looking forward to this series. I want to know what your findings are.

Steempeak is definitely my favourite frontend for both desktop and mobile. I was using Partiko for iOS, but it severely lacks features and the team doesn't even reply in their Discord server's help channel. I also tried eSteem for iOS and although it has a very good feature set, the UI is really crummy.

This looks good. Someone should set up a casino where people can just gamble with these random tokens.

It wouldn't be worth the electricity and server power for half this junk. Sell it and gamble with steem.

It could be overwhelming to see many tribes.
One cool steemian will focus on the ones that will make steem better

👋👨🏾‍🚀 there’s a couple of us actually ☺️, if the tribe is on-boarding, they are undoubtedly making Steem better imo

Cheers !BEER

The one with a tremendous potential and my favorite is SteemLeo.

I know you're a bit of an investment guy so it makes sense you like SteemLeo. They will be one of my first to look into because they are a strong and active community, not sure about the potential though, we gotta do an analysis.
